Girls’ Generation’s newest release, “Mr.Mr.”, debuted at number 110 on the “Billboard 200″ album chart. This the highest ranking Girls’ Generation has ever achieved on the chart, the next highest being Girls’ Generation – TTS’s first album, “Twinkle”, which debuted at 126th.
The individual tracks on the “Mr.Mr.” mini album have also done well on Billboard’s “K-Pop Hot 100″ chart this week. “Mr.Mr.” ranks the highest, at fifth place. “Goodbye” sits at 26th, “Wait a Minute” is 43rd, “Back Hug” comes in at 62nd, “Europa” is 64th, and “Soul” finishes at 83rd. Girls’ Generation previously grabbed the top spot on “K-Pop Hot 100″ with their 2013 comeback, “I Got a Boy”; their first number one ranking on the chart was with “The Boys” in 2011.
In addition, “Mr.Mr.” came in fourth place on Billboard’s “World Digital Songs” chart. The music video for Girls’ Generation’s latest title track now has over 6.7 million views on YouTube since its release five days ago, on February 28th.
