Girls' Generation releases album jacket for "Paparazzi"


Girls’ Generation is back with another single to dominate the Japanese music industry again this summer. Following their 3rd Japanese single ‘Mr.Taxi’, the girls will be releasing their 4th Japanese single ‘Paparazzi’ on June 27th.

In addition to the PV teaser, which already received over 1 million views on Youtube, Girls’ Generation revealed two album jacket photos on their official Japanese website. The single will come in three editions; First Press Special Limited Edition, Regular Edition (CD + DVD) and Regular Edition (CD only).

Girls’ Generation’s “Paparazzi” jacket photos revealed

With the announcement of Girls’ Generation‘s upcoming Japanese single, “Paparazzi“, a PV teaser as well as a preview were revealed recently, gaining tremendous interest from fans. More details about the upcoming album have surfaced today on various Korean portals along with two photos that are labeled as album jacket covers.
According to what is circulating the web, it seems there will be at least two versions for the album including the regular edition and first limited edition featuring two different jacket covers.

Girls’ Generation, SHINee, U-Kiss, & B.A.P to hold K-Pop concert in Macao

Girls’ GenerationSHINeeU-KISS, and B.A.P will be coming together for a concert in Macao this summer.
On July 2nd at 8 PM, the four K-Pop groups will hold the ‘K-POP Nation Concert in Macao 2012‘ at the Venetian Hotel.
‘K-POP Nation Concert in Macao 2012′ will be different from regular concerts and music shows in that each artist will put on performances and share stories not heard before at their individual concerts.
Tickets went on sale beginning May 31st on the Cotai Ticketing Site.
Co-organizer of the concert, DBM Media, revealed, “Though tickets were sold through an overseas website, both domestic and overseas fans made telephone inquiries and the service became paralyzed after ticket sale opened.
A representative of co-organizer MBC Plus Media revealed, “We were surprised by the domestic and overseas fans’ reactions. Driven by the support from fans, the stars are working hard in making great performances.

SNSD members facial expression translates to internet meme's?


A post in 9gag has attracted the attention of netizens. A post which was posted in the site has surfaced on online communities for it's relating to SNSD members. The post was entitled, "9GAG SNSD members into meme's".

On the post, you can see that a particular internet meme was given an equivalent similar expression from the girls of SNSD namely Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Yuri. The expressions are hilarious as there is indeed similarities with the girls expressions to the internet meme's. Netizens commented, "Their facial expressions looks really strange", "This is really funny", "Sooyoung's expression is scary and funny".

TaeTiSeo's special goodbye stages featuring Sooyoung and Hyoyeon


Sooyoung and Hyoyeon will be appearing along with Girls’ Generation – TTS for their goodbye stages.

On June 2nd, Sooyoung and TaeTiSeo will have a special performance of ‘OMG’ on MBC ‘Show!Music Core’. Hours after Sooyoung’s appearance on ‘Music Core’ was announced, fans were thrilled with another piece of exciting news. Hyoyeon too, will be performing ‘OMG’ with TaeTiSeo at SBS ‘Inkigayo’ which will be aired on June 3rd.

A few weeks ago, TaeTiSeo mentioned that they would recruit Hyoyeon as a member of their unit. It seems that their wish to have Hyoyeon performing with them is coming true soon. Along with ‘OMG’ which is an electronic retro pop song, TaeTiSeo will also be performing ‘Twinkle’ at both of their goodbye stages on MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ and SBS ‘Inkigayo’.

During its one-month promotion so far, TaeTiSeo’s ‘Twinkle’ had won ‘Triple Crowns (3 wins in a row)’ on major music programs such as MBC Music ‘Show Champion’, Mnet ‘M!Countdown’, KBS ‘Music Bank’ and SBS ‘Inkigayo’.

TaeTiSeo to wrap up unit activities with 12 trophies


Girls’ Generation once again proved what they are capable of.
The team’s first subgroup ‘TaeTiSeo‘ seized several #1 trophies on a number of different music programs, and will be wrapping up promotions with a final performance on the June 3rd broadcast ofSBS ‘Inkigayo‘.
With their hit song “Twinkle“, the girls secured #1 K-Chart wins for three consecutive weeks on SBS ‘Inkigayo’, KBS ‘Music Bank‘, Mnet ‘M! Countdown‘, and MBC Music‘s ‘Show! Champion‘. Though there have been many unit groups to grace the K-Pop scene, this is the first time a unit group has earned a triple-crown and secured a #1 win on each previously mentioned music program.
“Twinkle” which was released back April 30th proved that it had staying power, as it remained at the #3 spot on major Korean music site Melon as of May 31st KST.
After debuting as a unit group, the girls were acknowledged for their explosive vocal talent that they couldn’t properly display before with 9-member group Girls’ Generation. An insider from their agency SM Entertainment remarked, “I think TaeTiSeo was able to last a long while because with their subgroup promotions, the girls have been acknowledged for their music, their choreography, and their visuals.”
TaeTiSeo who admitted that they shook with nervous jitters for their first unit group performance remarked, “With Girls’ Generation, the charismatic choreography was extremely important, but I think with [unit] promotions, we were able to focus mainly on our vocals. Our company has been extremely supportive, and the other members joked that they were jealous.”
Girls’ Generation’s very first unit group TaeTiSeo is made up of TaeyeonTiffany, and Seohyun, and there is potential for new subgroups to emerge in the future.

YoonA & Jang Geun Suk thank 'Love Rain' viewers


In the grand final of KBS 2TV Monday and Tuesday drama “Love Rain” aired on May 29th, 2012, Seo In Ha (Jung Jin Young) and Kim Yoon Hee (Lee Mi Sook), together with Seo Joon (Jang Geun Suk) and Jung Ha Na (YoonA) stage different ending, satisfying own friendship and love.

Jang Geun Suk who has been playing the role of Seo In Ha of 1970s and Seo Joon in 2012 since autumn of 2011 said, “I feel that I have experience a long love beginning from 1970s to 2012. Because of immersing into ‘Love Rain’ for a long time, I feel that there will be withdrawal syndrome. Very happy to be able to meet Seo In Ha and Seo Joon. It will become a valuable drama that is unforgettable for life. Very grateful to fans who have been encouraging me.”

YoonA who plays the role of Yoon Hee in the 1970s and Jung Ha Na in 2012 in the drama said, “Have been working together for a very long time, so I feel even more reluctant to part, I find very unfortunate. I learned a lot of acting skills through this drama, and also feel that I have also changed a lot, so it feels good. Want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the audience who loved this drama, I hope everyone will remember ‘Love Rain’ long after this.”

Besides, the new drama, “BIG” will premiere on June 4 to succeed “Love Rain”.



YoonA thanks fans with birthday photo


Girls’ Generation member YoonA published her birthday photo.

On May 31st, 2012, YoonA said through official website, “Thank you for supporting ‘Love Rain‘ and wishing me Happy Birthday. Because of you I will work harder, because of you I have more chance for activities.” At the same time, she uploaded a photo.

In the photo, YoonA was holding a birthday cake, staring at the camera. YoonA almost without makeup, her glowing skin is amazing. The number 23 on the cake represents the age of YoonA, what’s most striking is that the small doll the cake is resembling YoonA when small.
