Sunny posts a sweet selca for fans

Girls' Generation's Sunny posted an especially sweet photo set of herself onto Instagram

She wrote, "Why is it that when I wink I can't open my other eye fully? #wink with chocolate covered orange♥ #yummy."

In the picture, she is winking cutely, using a chocolate-covered orange as a cute accessory. She looks like she's about to eat the delicious treat, but then she decides to cover her eye instead.

Sunny is now sporting a long, wavy hairstyle for a feminine, lovely look. Netizens complimented her profusely, saying she looked so pretty with the new hairstyle and absolutely adorable with her tongue sticking out.

YoonA greets her fans with a new selca, gratitude, and an update on her life

Just the other day, YoonA added a new entry to the official Girls' Generation home page under the title, "It's been a while since I've greeted you."

She wrote, "Everyone is doing well, right?  I am really really happy and glad that we received an amazing award such as this thanks to everyone who loves Girls' Generation--not just those in Korea.  It's so intriguing that I still can't believe it and am really grateful."  She is, of course, talking about winning Video of the Year at the 'YouTube Music Awards.'

She continued with an update on her life, "I am passing the days lately filming for my drama . . . Hope you are well until the next time we meet!  I love you! Bye bye."

YoonA shared a picture in which she looks bright and refreshing with a braid on one side and a cute hat.  Her drama, 'Prime Minister and I' will start on December 9!

On November 6th, Sooyoung posted a message and photoset on Girls’ Generation’s official website to encourage students taking the Suneung, or college entrance exams, in Korea. The Suneung will take place later today, November 7th. The characters in Sooyoung’s photo form the words “Test-takers hwaiting!”

[From. SOOYOUNG]: Gather Energy and Hwaiting!!!!
There are probably test-takers amongst our SONE too, right..?
Earlier, while MCing at Hanbam, watching the other stars rooting on their test-taking fans made me think of SONE..ㅜㅜ
I’m really sorry for not being able to prepare it beforehand…
If we were promoting, I could have cheered you on personallyㅜㅜ

The weather’s gotten cold, right? Make sure to go dressed warmly tomorrow!♥
Seeing the know-how taught on Hanbam earlier
They say it’s good to meditate during the resting period ;)
I think your mental attitude is most important!
Ahgoong*, I’m already feeling all admirable and proud???
Don’t be nervous, be strong, and do well
Let’s both meet with good news!!♥

Receive strength!! Bbyong bbyong!!
*Translator’s note: the same as “aigoo”.

Girls’ Generation makes international headlines

Girls’ Generation is receiving great interests from foreign media after becoming the only Asian singers to have won an award at ‘YouTube Music Awards’.

The popular girl group won the ‘Video of the Year’ award for “I Got a Boy” at the inaugural ‘YouTube Music Awards’ held in New York on November 3. Major media outlets including CNN, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, ABC News and New York Times reported on their success after they prevailed over global music stars.

CNN posted an article, “K-pop group Girls’ Generation beats Miley, Lady Gaga to first place in YouTube awards.” They also reported, “The pop group is a national phenomenon in Korea. It’s not the group’s first foray into the United States, as the ladies appeared on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ and also ‘Live! With Kelly’ last year.”

A representative stated, “The award means Korean artists won against world-famous celebrities and proved that Korean music and singers are able to lead the world in music. For that the foreign media showed their keen interest in the prize winning of the group.”
