SNSD will be releasing a Maxi single of their new song ‘The Boys’ in November through a major American record label owned by Universal Music Group, Interscope Records which produces for artistes such as Lady Gaga, Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, etc.
Not only in America, ‘The Boys’ will also be released in Europe, South America and other parts of the world. With the worldwide release, overwhelming response from fans around the world is very much anticipated.
In addition, SNSD’s new song ‘The Boys’ is set for a simultaneous worldwide release on October 19th through iTunes. On the same day, the music video for ‘The Boys’ will also be revealed through SM’s official YouTube channel and Facebook page. In Korea, since the 3rd album will be released on that very day as well, October 19th will be known as ‘Girls’ Generation Day’.
After the release of ‘The Boys’ on October 19th, SNSD will begin their promotional activities where they will be having their comeback stage on KBS ‘Music Bank’ on October 21st.
In a way to promote the new romantic comedy starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, ‘Friends With Benefits‘, an online survey was conducted via portal site Nate.
The survey asked users, ‘Which Celebrity is too attractive to Keep Just As A Friend?‘ With 94% of all the votes, SNSD‘s Yoona dominated and was chosen #1.
Nate conducts numerous surveys on their website, and this one in particular was conducted from the 4th to the 9th. It was chosen as Nate’s best poll yet, thanks to the many fans who admire Yoona’s doll-like features & her innocent, bubbly charm.
Yoona is one of Hallyu’s top stars, not only as a member of SNSD but she is also making her mark in the acting world.
Yoona is acting alongside actor Jang Geun Suk in the new series ‘Love Rain‘- a project comparable to Bae Yong Jun & Choi Ji Woo‘s Winter Sonata.
Runner-ups for the #2 spot on the survey was a tie between 2PM‘s Taecyeon, 4minute‘s HyunA, andB2ST‘s Lee Kikwang with 2% of the votes respectively.

On October 11th, the fashion house of Christian Dior opened the ‘Asian Film Sponsor Night‘ at theWestin Chosun Hotel Crystal Ballroom in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
As an associated event with the Busan International Film Festival, Christian Dior created this lavish party to support of the future of Asian cinema and the revitalization of the Asian film industry. A gala dinner was held to contribute to the Asian Cinema Fund which aids up-and-coming film directors.
