[News] SNSD “hoots” K-Chart on Music Bank + other performances

Music Bank is back for the first week of November with a fun and exciting show filled with amazing performances!

SNSD and SG Wannabe were up for #1 on the K-Chart this week. In the end, it was SNSD who “hooted” their first trophy for “Hoot,” and it’s surely the first of many to come.

[News] The face that Korean moms wish their child will have?

2PM Nichkhun and SNSD SeoHyun’s looks have been chosen by Korean pregnanct moms as the look that they wish their child would have.

On 29th Oct, a pregnant woman centre in Seoul conducted a survey for 224 pregnant woman, asking them [Whose looks in MBC’s WGM would they want their child to have]. 2PM Nichkhun and SNSD SeoHyun have gained superior results as the first place for the male and female category. SeoHyun had 107 votes (47.8%) at first place, below her was Nichkhun’s wife Victoria who had 69 votes (30.8%), Gain gained 14 votes at third place.

On the male side, Nichkhun gained favour of 148 pregnant woman, putting him at first place. At second and third place are YongHwa and JoKwon who had 39 votes (17.4%) and 6 votes (7.1%) respectively.

Not long ago, Nichkhun had obtained first place in Nate’s survey [The idol singer who can protect his lover], the Chinese-Thai Nichkhun’s popularity in Korea cannot be looked down upon.

[News] Photoshopped pictures of YoonA as a boy become a popular topic

Photoshopped photos of SNSD member YoonA as a male has been receiving a lot attention on Korean portal site Nate.

Recently, the photos were uploaded on various online communities where YoonA’s face was photoshopped onto various male idol’s bodies including The Quiett, SHINee’s Taemin, and more. In the photos, YoonA could definitely live up to the title of ‘flower boy’. From the manipulated pictures of her in a hoodie and hat to her wearing a suit, she was able to digest the image of a young man and showcase her various pretty boy looks.

Photoshopped pictures of SNSD member Yoona as a boy is hot on the Internet.

On the latest online community board, Yoona’s face was synthesized on the figures of male idols, in which male Yoona pictures were released.

With a baseball cap, hoodie, and casual look of a boy, Yoona is reminiscent of a pretty boy force, the parody Yoona still looking like her real figure.

Netizens said “It looks like it was put together with DBSK, Big Bang, SHINee.” “ The stars of ’The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince’, ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ force” “Yoona is handsome”.

SNSD returned with the recent mini album, “Hoot!” and ranked 1st in various charts , continuing with their activities.

[News] SM To Take Formal Procedures Towards Super Lucky?

Following the broadcast of a Taiwanese talk show which highlights the picture of SNSD in topics related to “sexual service and plastic surgery by Korean artists”, SM Entertainment has responded strongly as such defamatory acts could damage the image of the girls who are innocent and often being used by the media to fish for publicity.

On November 4th, through a telephone conversation with Asian Economic Sports Today, a representative from SM Entertainment said, “The Taiwanese program has presented false, exaggerated and distorted facts to its viewers. This is a defamation and could cause serious damage to SNSD’s image. As for the broadcasting company, We shall respond on this serious matter strongly through formal procedures”.

The show entitled “Fate Is Fun” was aired by Super Lucky (超 视)TV and during the broadcast, a picture of SNSD was shown, with a large defamatory caption “sexual favor”. On to the show, Chen Ling Ling said, “Korean artists are forced to provide sexual favors under immense pressure by the agency and in some cases, these artists were pushed to the brink of committing suicide”.

The use of SNSD’s picture in the program gave an impression to the viewers that SNSD are involved in such acts and this would definitely hurt the girls’ reputation.

Following the distorted and false facts presented by the Taiwanese show, netizens expressed their concert by commenting, “I’m concerned that SNSD would get hurt from these malicious reports”.

Recently SM Entertainment's artistes seem to be under quite a number of controversies, but this seems to be a negligence on "Super Lucky"'side.

Even Super Junior's Ryeowook fumed when he found out about the news and tweeted about it as we have previously reported here.

[News] SNSD talks about “Hoot”

The girls made an introduction about their latest mini-album “Hoot”. It was always fun to see them doing the introduction; their characters and funny expressions especially. In the intro vid, Jessica and YoonA did not talk. Jessica was flaunting her beautiful smile throughout the introduction and YoonA did some acting with a little bit of sound effects as the background…lol

Taeyeon : We just released our new mini album, Hoot. Nice to meet you guys~ Lately what have we been doing?

Tiffany : We are having our Japan promotions lately and its has been a long time since we have a comeback in Korea especially after Oh and RDR promotions, so we’re back.

Taeyeon : And apart from being actively promoting in Japan, we also met with our foreign fans (concerts). So we are happy to comeback despite that we are busy (with foreign activities).

Sooyoung : Yes, our title song for third mini album, Hoot is a song with go-go rhythm and retro guitar sound. And this song represented a message/warning from the girls to bad guys. With the cute lyrics, (I’m not quite sure this part…lol. something to do with love and SNSD). This time we have a retro and powerful concept that is different from the concepts that we usually have….so please look forward to our complete transformation.

[News] SNSD conquered the Gaon Charts

SNSD’s 3rd mini album title track “Hoot” took 1st place on Gaon’s Digital and Online Chart for Week 5 of October. Besides the Digital and Online Charts, the girls are doing quite well on Mobile and BGM charts well where “Hoot” was ranked #2 and #4 respectively.

For those who are not familiar with Gaon, it is the center of all Korean charts, made up of various music sites and distributing companies. Digital Chart is calculated based on Online and Mobile Chart. The Online Chart displays results from online music and album sales and streaming services while the Mobile Chart calculates the best selling ringtones and caller ringtones for each week.

Recently, the photo of SNSD during their trainee days becomes a topic of discussion.

The pre-debut group photo of SNSD members Seohyun, Yuri, Sooyoung, Jessica and Hyoyeon was uploaded on online community sites recently and the discussion about it has been spreading rapidly. In the picture, SNSD members’ fresh natural look and cute charm have garnered much attention among netizens.

The photo was most probably taken at the end of the mentioned SNSD members’ performance at the 2004 SM Trainee Showcase. Netizens who saw the phtoto commented:
