Girl's Generation sets another record in Japan

On July 23rd, Girls' Generation released "The best", a compilation album containing 18 hit songs, including "Genie", "Gee", "Mr. Taxi",Japanese version of "Mr Mr", brand new ballad “Indestructible” ..., and it debuted at #1 on both Oricon Daily Album Chart and Weekly Chart.

It is the third time Girl's Generation has topped the Japanese chart following "Girls' Generation" in 2011 and "Love & Peace" in 2013. With this result, Girls' Generation became the only Asian girl group that made three consecutive #1 debuts on Oricon Chart.

Meanwhile, Girls' Generation's new album advertisement will be posted on billboards at Ginza, Shinjuku, Ikebukuor, O-otemachi, Akihabara, Rotbbongi, Ebis, and Yurakcho areas of Tokyo until August 3rd.

Jessica and Krystal become new models for fashion brand Lapalette

Jessica and Krystal have been chosen as the new models for 2014 F/W collection of fashion brand Lapalette. 

The sisters are attracted much attention through their own reality show 'Jessica & Krystal', especially their great fashion sense and irresistible charms have caught the eyes of Lapalette which led them to be chosen as the new endorsers for the brand. 

It was revealed that in the upcoming August, Lapalette will proceed with various promotions featuring the Jung sisters and it will be available both online and offline. In particular, the new advertisement photos can be seen via 38 offline stores in Korea. The behind the scene of the photoshoot will be shown in the broadcast of 'Jessica and Krystal' on July 29th.

Girls’ Generation – TTS Perform at ’2014 BlueOne Dream Festival’

On July 30th, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun performed as Girls’ Generation – TTS at the “2014 BlueOne Dream Festival”, held at the BlueOne Water Park. The three members of the sub-unit dressed in flowery summer outfits for the event and performed “Love Sick”, “Baby Steps”, and “Twinkle”.

The “2014 BlueOne Dream Festival” began on July 13th and will run until August 17th, with multiple different artists performing. Other K-Pop singers to appear in the future will include Secret, Dal Shabet, and Ailee.

Yoona and Seohyun Attend VIP Premiere of ‘The Pirates’

On July 29th, Yoona and Seohyun attended the VIP premiere of “The Pirates” at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University in Seoul. The two posed for photos by the media with other stars at the event. The cast of “The Pirates” includes f(x)’s Sulli, and other SM Entertainment artists, such as TVXQ!’s Yunho, SHINee’s Minho, f(x)’s Victoria, and EXO’s D.O also appeared at the premiere in support of the movie.
