Yoona and Seohyun Appear in SM Fashionistas' Photoshoot!
On January 21st, the official YouTube pages for SM Entertainment and W Korea uploaded videos of Girls’ Generation’s Yoona and Seohyun attending the SM Fashionistas’ photoshoot.
As reported earlier, Yoona, Seohyun, SHINee’s Jonghyun and Taemin, f(x)’s Krystal and Sulli, and EXO’s Kai, Lu Han and Se Hun participated in a photoshoot with the fashion magazine “W” for the French fashion brand “CARVEN”. The members of SHINee and f(x) took part in the photoshoot on January 19th, while Yoona and Seohyun were featured on January 21st. The members of EXO attended both days of the photoshoot.
Footage from the photoshoot was uploaded live to the SMTOWN and W Korea YouTube channels, allowing fans to watch the event as it happened. The official Twitter account for W Korea also released the above photo of Yoona and Seohyun from the shoot. Twitter users showed their excitement as the videos from the second day of the photoshoot were uploaded, and “W Live 2 S” quickly trended worldwide.

Sales of all editions (including repackages) and versions (Korea, Taiwan, Japan, etc.) of the same album in 2011 are summed together for the bestseller ranking. This means, for example, that Mr. Simple and A-CHAsales are counted together as Super Junior's fifth album, while non-repackage follow-ups, like Big Bang's 4th Mini Album and Big Bang Special Edition and CNBLUE's First Step and Thank You, are counted separately. Only Korean-language releases are included here.
No surprise, Girls' Generation was the top-selling artist of 2011. Their new releases sold. Their old releases sold. Basically, everything the nine girls touched turned golden in 2011. 2NE1 was the only other female artist to crack the top ten in overall artist sales; they would be ranked #7 after SHINee (who didn't release any new K-pop in 2011 but sold plenty of their older albums). Super Junior came out on top among the male artists, and Big Bang spread out their sales with group, unit, and solo releases (Seung Ri's V.V.I.P. was actually the best-selling solo artist album of 2011).

Girls' Generation's Kakaotalk profile picture has been revealed.
On the 20th of January, ‘Girls' Generation KakaoTalk profile picture?’ was published on an online community dashboard.
The page shows the pictures that were taken by the members themselves.
Taeyeon's no make up picture garners lots of attention.
SM Artists made a 500,000 view record for W Live Photoshoot!
SM artists participated on W Live Photoshoot and the behind the scenes videos that were uploaded on Youtube gained approximately 500,000 views.
On the 19th of Janury, SM artists including f(x)'s Sulli and Krystal, SHINee's Jonghyun and Taemin and even the highly anticipated new group from SM Entertainment, EXO participated on this photoshoot.
The videos received much attention and reason why it hit 500,000 views.
EXO members such as Kai, Luhan and Sehun are first timers for a photoshoot like this. They received praises for their awesome poses. However, SHINee's Taemin was kind enough to give Kai some tips during photoshoot and seems that his tips helped Kai a lot.
The second broadcast will be on the 21st of this month featuring SNSD and EXO.

Performances from 2011 Golden Disk Awards in Osaka (Part 2)
On January 11th and 12th, Japan’s Kyocera Dome hosted a bevy of K-Pop stars for the 26th Golden Disk Awards.
The awards stood out for its unconventional format this year: it not only divided its ceremony into two parts to honor both physical and digital albums, but it also didn’t live broadcast the show.
On January 19th and 20th, jTBC finally aired the performances from Osaka. Taking a cue from the awards show, we’ve divided them into less condensed chunks.
