Sooyoung first love looks like T.O.P?

On the 12th, SBS aired the Chuseok special of Dalgona and Sooyoung of SNSD was a guest of this episode. Her first love, Jang Yik Hyeon, also appeared. Jang's looks has drawn attention from the public because he apparently resembles Big Bang's T.O.P.


Hearing how Jang looks like T.O.P, comedian Byeon Ki Soo commented to Sooyoung, "You look like Han Ga In then."

It has been awhile since Jang saw Sooyoung. He revealed, "I was mesmerized by Sooyoung. I was trying hard to concentrate with my studies but she still caught my attention," which made the people in the set laugh.

He elaborated, "It was only during a school picnic that I confessed while playing the "truth" game. However, Sooyoung refused my confession."

Sooyoung responded, "His friends were so excited since they knew that he was confessing but he actually never even stroke a conversation with me."

Jang added, "That was the first ever confession I made in my life."

Note: It was a joke. You know how like in variety shows people say they look like some handsome actors, etc? That's why the comedian responded that if the guy looks like TOP, then Sooyoung looks like Han Ga In (know to be one of the prettiest actresses in Korea). *Read the sarcasm.

Hyoyeon "He is no longer my ideal type"

On SBS ‘Strong Heart’ which will be aired on September 13th, Hyoyeon said, “During my previous appearance on ‘Strong Heart’, I mentioned about a male idol that I secretly admired but now, not anymore”.

She added, “As I bravely made my sincere confession, I have no idea how he knew I was referring to him. Now, I no longer see him as my ideal type”.

Along with Hyoyeon, Sunny and Seohyun will also be featured in this episode of ‘Strong Heart’.

More than 30,000 fans turned up for 3 days concert in Taipei Arena

’2011 Girls’ Generation Tour in Taipei’ which was held in Taipei Arena from September 9th to 11th received explosive response from the fans. The 3-day concert attracted a total of 31,000 fans.

SNSD are the first foreign girl group to have a 3-day concert and recorded the biggest turnout so far. Originally, only 2 concerts were planned but due to the overwhelming demand and support for the girls, another concert was added on September 9th.

At the concert, SNSD performed their hit songs such as ‘Gee’, ‘Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)’, ‘Oh!’, etc as well as songs from their Japanese album such as ‘Bad Girl’, ‘The Great Escape’, etc. Also, each member graced the stage with their unique solo performances.

On the first day of the concert, fans formed the word ‘소녀시대9′ (2nd day – ‘FOREVER’, 3rd day – ‘가지마요><’) using green lightsticks. On the second day, the atmosphere was heated up further when fans held papers with the message ‘Your SONE’ (1st day – ‘Welcome back, We Miss You So Much’) written on them.

On the third day, after the final performance of ‘It’s Fantastic’, pink ribbons were thrown towards the stage and the whole venue was filled with pink. Also, before the girls left the stage, a surprised birthday party was organized for Hyoyeon who will be turning 22 on September 22nd. SONEs and Soshi together sang the birthday song in English for Hyoyeon.

YoonA's 'Genie' uniform sold at 6.7 million won

YoonA’s costume for ‘Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)’ music video was sold for 6.7 million Won.

On MBC TV ‘Hangawi (Chuseok) Special Star Auction Show’ aired on September 13th, YoonA offered her ‘Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)’ uniform costume for auction.

During the programme, YoonA and MC Shin BongSun staged a 5-minute promotional show for the auction. YoonA along with Shin BongSun and Park MiSun put on SNSD’s uniform and danced to ‘Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)’.

During the auction which took place after that, among the 200 participants, there was a fierce competition among male participants who raised the bidding price one after another. Within just 2 minutes, the bidding price had gone up to more than 2 million Won. Finally, a male participant who introduced himself as a male fan of SNSD made the costume his by putting the final bidding price at 6.7 million Won.

YoonA’s “Genie” costume sells for over $6,000 USD!

SNSD member YoonA stunned netizens with her star power when it was revealed that her costume for “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)” was sold for 6,700,000 won (approximately $6,200 USD)!

On September 13th, an auction was held on MBC‘s Chuseok special program, ‘Star Auction Show‘, which hosted collectors items from various stars. The stylish costume YoonA had worn for the “Tell Me Your Wish” MV was sold at a jaw-dropping figure of 6,700,000 won.

YoonA couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw the skyrocketing auction bids, as she estimated that it would only draw 2 million won, even though professionals had appraised it for 7 million won. The stylist who created the costume was surprised as well, since YoonA had worn the costume more than 10 times.

Proceeds from the auction will be donated to charities.

SNSD attracts over 30,000 fans for ’2011 GIRLS’ GENERATION TOUR in TAIPEI’

On September 9th-11th, SNSD held their second solo concert in Taiwan with ‘2011 GIRLS’ GENERATION TOUR in TAIPEI‘ this past week at the Taipei Arena, and as expected, the concert was a huge success!

On September 13th, SM Entertainment revealed that over 30,000 fans had attended the concerts for a chance to see their favorite Korean girl group. Due to the hot response from Taiwanese fans, SM Entertainment had added an extra concert date to the originally two-day concert.

The girls also set a record of being the first foreign girl group to have the honor of performing at the Taipei Arena with not one but three consecutive concerts.

Waving thousands of bright pink glow sticks in the air, the crowd cheered on the girls as they performed their past hit songs of “Gee“, “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)“, “Oh!“, and also songs from their Japanese album such as “Bad Girl“, “The Great Escape“, and more. Including the members’ solo performances, the girls performed a total of 31 songs for the concert.

During the concert, the SNSD members were deeply touched when their Taiwanese fans revealed various events they had planned to show their love towards the girls, including a surprise birthday event for Hyoyeon.

SNSD’s Hyoyeon confesses she no longer has feelings for her mysterious idol crush

On the most recent recording of ‘Strong Heart’, SNSD‘s Hyoyeon confessed that she no longer had feelings for the mysterious idol crush she mentioned on a previous episode of the show.

Hyoyeon commented on her previous appearance on the show, stating, “The last time I appeared on ‘Strong Heart’, I told everyone that there was an idol I had a secret crush on, but now that’s not how it is.”

She continued, “I no longer have the feelings I had for the idol I liked. I made an innocent confession after working up courage, but it seems that he figured out it was him somehow. Now, the ideal image I had of him is broken.”

The episode will be broadcast on the 13th KST. SNSD’s Sunny and Seohyun will also be appearing on the show with Hyoyeon.

SNSD’s Hyoyeon reveals cute mistakes with her speech

On September 12th, SNSD‘s Hyoyeon guested on SBS‘s Chuseok special of ‘Dalgona‘ and proved herself to be the female version of veteran singer Kim Heung Guk, a celebrity known for his hilarious speech mistakes.

Hyoyeon’s close hometown friend Park Ki Joon made an appearance, surprising everyone with a confession on the many instances where Hyoyeon made some mistakes in her speech.

He began, “Hyoyeon makes a lot of hilarious mistakes. She was into the character ‘Goo Jun Pyo’ from the drama ‘Boys Over Flowers‘ when it was airing. We were watching it together one day and she looked at me with an expression of love and said, ‘Don’t you think Goo Jun Yup is so amazing?’”

Her mistakes didn’t end just there, though, as he had saved the best for last. “One day, Hyoyeon was trying to ask me to go skiing with her. Because she was so excited, instead of ‘ski’, she ended up saying, ‘Let’s go to the kiss resort!”
