SNSD has their eyes on INFINITE

On November 7th, SNSD guested on ‘Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time’ radio and revealed their honest thoughts on various topics.

One of the topics discussed dealt with newer idol groups. DJ Choi Hwa Jung asked, “You’ve made a comeback after a long while. Do rookie groups find it hard to approach you?”

Taeyeon responded, “To be honest, a lot of rookie groups find it uncomfortable and difficult to approach us. So they greet us loudly with 90 degree bows.”

The DJ followed up by asking, “How do they react when you receive their greeting in a friendly manner?”Sunny responded, “Honestly, it’s only been 4 years since we’ve debuted. So rather than receiving their greeting, I think it’s only right that we greet them too.”

Choi Hwa Jung then asked, “Are there any hoobae [junior] boy idol groups that you’ve had your eyes on?” After a moment, Hyoyeon revealed, “I think INFINITE is quite good. It’s nice to see them always trying their hardest.”

The other members nodded in agreement and Sunny added, “They came to greet us and give us a copy of their album when we were in the waiting room once. I was so touched.”

When asked to pick a second group, Taeyeon made everyone laugh when she replied, “Am I not allowed to say INFINITE again?

DJ Choi Hwa discussed about junior idol groups and asked, “Are there any hoobae boy idol groups that you’ve had your eyes on?"

DJ Choi Hwa Jung later discussed rookie groups. He asked, "You’ve made a comeback after a long while. Do rookie groups find it hard to approach you?"

Taeyeon responded, "To be honest, a lot of rookie groups find it uncomfortable and difficult to approach us. So they greet us loudly with 90 degree bows."

The DJ continued, “How about treating it as a friendly bow?”. In reply to this, Sunny replied, “Honestly, it’s only 4 years since we debuted and so, we feel it’s fine that we just greet one another rather than receiving them”.

On November 11th, Girls’ Generation who achieved the number one spot after releasing their third album “The Boys”, appeared on “SBS Power FM Power Time with Choi Hwajung” and had a very casual and honest talk.

DJ Choi also asked, “Then how about just accepting their bows in a friendly manner?” Sunny replied very humbly, “Actually, its only been 4 years since we’ve debuted and so it’s more appropriate to bow back to them in an equal fashion instead of accepting their bows.”
In addition, DJ Choi asked Girls’ Generation, “Who is your favourite male junior recently?” Taeyeon said, “I really like Infintite. It’s good to see them and they’re always working hard.” After which, DJ Choi followed up the question with ”Who is your second favourite?” and Taeyeon wittily responded, “Can I say Infinite again?”.

Tiffany on preparing for ‘Fame’: “I was rehearsing 12 hours a day”

On November 7th, upcoming musical ‘Fame‘ held a press showcase at the Dong Soong Art Centerin Seoul with cast members Son Ho Young, Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk, SNSD‘s Tiffany, CSJH‘sLina, Trax‘s Jungmo, Kon, and more.

Tiffany, who’ll be making her musical debut through the role of Carmen Diaz, revealed, “I practiced for 12 hours from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.”

She continued, “In rehearsals, I would have to concentrate on my singing, acting, and dancing — there was so much to do that I didn’t know what to focus on. My SNSD groupmates, who had previous musical experience, told me to just concentrate on whatever was necessary. I think that’s the best way to put it.”

Commenting on the intense choreography, Tiffany said, “In one of SNSD’s performances, I had to dance on a moving table with wheels, so in comparison, it’s not that difficult. Engaging with the audience without a camera is so new and different for me, however. I’m still learning.”

‘Fame’ is one of the most popular musicals in the world, as it was viewed by nearly 4 million people from 1995 to 2006. With an estimated revenue of 56,000,000 pounds, it’s the best-selling West End musicals to date. ‘Fame’ has gained international recognition, with over 300 productions shown in 16 different countries.

‘Fame’ will play at the Olympic Park Woori Finance Art Hall starting on November 25th.

Girls' Generation's Selca Battle

Today on “Hong Jin Kyung’s 2 O’clock Radio”, the DJ and 5 members of Girls’ Generation had a ‘free-for-all’ selca battle. And, as expected of Girls’ Generation, there was no holding back as the girls could be seen showing off their own personal unique charm in the pictures.

First off is Yuri with an adorable picture of herself pouting.

Secondly, is the ever serious maknae Seohyun, with a small smile and a stare that can see into your soul.

Third up is the leader Taeyeon, who is well known for being dorky, and this is no exception. Here’s a picture of her yawning; or possibly wanting to eat something.

Next up is Sunny, with a triple combo pout, wink, and to cap it all of a victory sign. Sunny just might have this battle in the bag.

Last but not the least, Hyoyeon, with a hilarious picture reminiscent of Sadako from “The Ring” as her bangs cover all of her face. Instead of being scary, most people will think it is cute.
While in the end, the DJ won the battle by means of default, since listeners commented that there was more members present, each of them were able to show off cute selcas that the fans would enjoy.

Tiffany's Thoughts on her Musical Debut!

Tiffany attended the showcase for her musical, “Fame”, today and shared her thoughts on her debut as a musical actress with TvN enews.
Preparing for both a musical and her performances with Girls’ Generation can be a challenge, as Tiffany says, “I was wrapped up in rehearsals from 12 in the afternoon to midnight. I had never done this before, not even during rehearsals for Girls’ Generation. But because I enjoy doing both and they both mean a lot to me, I don’t think I can choose one over the other.”
Tiffany continued, “I’ve always liked ’Fame’. I was presented with the opportunity and accepted it right away. I’m sad because I couldn’t practice as much as I wanted to due to my busy schedule. I think if I had a little bit more time, I could do better.” She added, “Still, I improved a lot in a short amount of time with the help of a lot of people. Because I’m lacking in many ways, I leaned on my efforts in singing, dancing, everything.”
From accounts of people who went to the showcase, Tiffany wowed those in attendance with her powerful voice.

Sunny Returns to "Invincible Youth" as a Veteran Farmer

After gaining lots of love as the laidback, lively “Soonkyu” in the first season last year, Girls’ Generation’s Sunny has returned to “Invincible Youth 2″.
Being called by her real name, Soonkyu, in the first season, Sunny gained the support of town elders by catching chickens with her hands and accomplishing various farm work. Sunny created a new standard for girl group idols as a true farming-dol.
With her popularity from the previous season, she has joined season two’s G8 as the “Return of Soonkyu”. Other G8 members were jealous of her unchanged awareness and variety show skills, as well as working skills that the new members could not match.
Fellow Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon is joining Sunny on the show, which airs its first episode this week on November 12th at 11:05pm KST on KBS2 TV.
