Hyoyeon and Tiffany reveal their obsessions

Hyoyeon and Tiffany revealed their obsessions on the latest episode of ‘Strong Heart‘, drawing surprises from the guests and MCs on set.

Tiffany was pointed out to have an obsession with a color, and that color was none other than pink! Fans know Tiffany has a love for all things pink, but the members revealed that her obsession with the color is deeper than fans think.

The members commented, “Tiffany won’t usually take medicine, but she’ll often take that one pink liquid medication (Pepto Bismol),” drawing chuckles from the set. Tiffany admitted that she does really like the color, but that she has started getting into red recently as well. When the other members started to ask “Oh really? Then can I wear the pink outfit next time?” Tiffany quickly shook her head and emphasized that pink is still hers, bringing laughs.

Sooyoung also revealed a quirk about Hyoyeon, saying, “Hyoyeon likes the number 23. You can call her the 23-girl. She asks the manager oppa, ‘Buy me 23 tangerines’, and says things like, ‘I hope we sell 23 million albums’. She even asks if she can get the 23rd off for every month.”

Hyoyeon also had the number ’32′ on her shirt for her ‘Oh!‘ promotions. She admitted, “I really do like the numbers 2 and 3.”

Yuri confesses she had a hard time crying on ‘Fashion King’

Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri confessed she had to stop filming ‘Fashion King‘ because she had difficulty crying.

On the final episode of ‘Strong Heart‘ that aired on February 12th, Yuri said, “There was a time when the drama had to stop filming because of me. I was supposed to act out a scene where I got slapped in the face. I was fine during rehearsals, but I got really nervous on set. The director told all the staff to focus even if they were conversing on the side so I could have a better environment. But that was even more burdensome. When I got to filming, I couldn’t cry even when I poked my eyes. In the end, we had to stop.”

She recalled, “But when Lee Jae Hoon oppa said that everything was okay, I started to cry then.”

It looks like the Girls’ Generation members had a lot of problem with tears and acting, as YoonA had also revealed that once she had stopped filming ‘You’re My Destiny‘ because she couldn’t stop crying.

The ladies of Girls’ Generation were guests on the final episode of ‘Strong Heart‘. Last week, Jessica had thanked Lee Dong Wook for helping her in a ‘Wild Romance‘ scene. The pair revealed the breakup scene wasn’t the only scene Lee Dong Wook had helped Jessica out. The pair also had a famous kiss scene in the drama.

Lee Dong Wook revealed, “Jessica never had any experience, so I told her to just stay still. I led her through the scene.” Shin Dong Yup roused laughter by adding on, “I know that he is very good at it“.

Jessica admitted, “It was my first acting scene and my first kiss scene.” Shin Dong Yup then made her crack up when he added, “And it was your first kiss in front of the camera.”

YoonA talks about the hardships she went through as a rookie actress

YoonA talked about the hardships as a rookie actress for her debut drama ‘You’re My Destiny‘.

On the February 12th installment of ‘Strong Heart‘, she said, “Before I debuted as a member of Girls’ Generation, I filmed for a month as an actress. Early on I was also featured in ‘You’re My Destiny’ and I got scolded a lot. I made an NG on my first shooting because I mixed up my lines, and the PD told me to go home because I wasn’t ready to act yet. So I cried the entire way home.”

She added, “I worried about it because the filming would go for over 9 months. So I lost my confidence. There was a time where filming had to be put to a halt because I started crying. I thought the PD was someone who was stingy with praises because he scolded me a lot, but I later found out he scolded me more so I wouldn’t slack off with my anxiousness as a rookie.“

Sooyoung reveals her father suffers from retinitis pigmentosa

Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung revealed that her father was suffering from retinitis pigmentosa.

On the latest episode of ‘Strong Heart‘, Sooyoung confessed, “My father went to the hospital because his eyes were getting bad, and they told him he had retinitis pigmentosa.” Retinitis pigmentosa is an inherited, degenerative eye disease that causes severe vision impairment and often leads to blindness. She said, “He doesn’t have any difficulty in everyday life, but they said he will slowly lose his eyesight.”

She also added, “My father is a very active person and he’s in charge of a campaign to help cure blindness. The Girl’s Generation members are active as promotional models for this campaign. Once, we got into a car accident while we were helping him (for this campaign). I think my dad gets concerned anytime he asks us to do something because of that incident.”

She couldn’t help but spill tears thinking about her father. She said, “I am my dad’s youngest daughter and his little hero. My dad is my big hero. One day, a bright world where we can look at each other through our hearts will come.”

Jessica under fire for arriving late to press event + Event rep responds

Girls’ Generation‘s Jessica is currently under fire for arriving late to a press event.

Jessica was scheduled to appear for the ‘Jessica Beauty Talk Show & Fan Signing Meeting’ at the Lotte Mall in Seoul on the 12th KST. However, she arrived 30 minutes late to the venue, and press members are reported to have not been pleased. Many reporters complained that there was no explanation or apology for her tardiness.

However, the event representative has come forward to explain the situation. He stated, “Jessica even adjusted her schedule to arrive on time for the event. However, since punctuality is important, she sends her apologies.”

Before the event, Jessica is reported to have been recording for Girls’ Generation’s upcoming Arena Tour in japan. Due to delays in productions for the tour as well as Lunar New Year traffic, she arrived late.

According to the rep, she also had to wait due to a dangerously large crowd of fans and safety concerns. He stated, “Though Jessica did want to apologize, the scheduled event had limited time, so we just went through with the event. For this, we apologize.”

Seohyun shares the first time she received a love confession on ‘Beatles Code 2′

Girls’ Generation‘s Seohyun shared her memories about her first love confession on the February 11th broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘.

During the broadcast, Seohyun revealed, “This is the song I listened to as I thought of the first person who made my heart flutter,” while listening to Britney Spears‘ “Sometimes“.

She explained, “It wasn’t exactly like, ‘This is my first love,’ but I still didn’t live without anything [feelings] up to this point” She continued to share, “When I was young, I received a love confession for the first time. I received it when I was a teenager. I liked him, but I was afraid when he came closer, and it also seemed like he would leave [me]. ”

Sunny is disappointed by Dongwan’s dance?

Sunny expressed her disappointment at Dongwan‘s dance.

During the Girls’ Generation special of ‘Shinhwa Broadcast‘, the girls taught the Shinhwa members a part of their “I Got a Boy” choreography. At one point, Hyoyeon tried to teach Dongwan the dance where she put up both of her hands and drew her hips in a figure 8.

However, when Dongwan tried out the move, the dance didn’t turn out quite like Hyoyeon’s did. He moved his own hips vigorously, shocking the girls and causing them to burst into laughter. However, Sunny reacted especially badly, unable to hide her shocked face. She quickly turned away, causing laughter once again.

Hyoyeon told Dongwan, “If you do this dance incorrectly, it turns dirty. You have to draw the figure 8 with your butt.”

Tiffany talks about her first love and kiss on ‘Beatles Code 2′

Girls’ Generation‘s Tiffany revealed her first love and first kiss for the first time on television during the latest episode of ‘Beatles Code 2‘.

During the segment ‘Music 101′, Tiffany had prepared Rihanna‘s “We Found Love“. She shyly stated, “My first love was an American friend I went to high school with. This is the first time I’m revealing this on television.” She also revealed he was one she shared her first kiss with and that they had dated for a few years.

This episode of ‘Beatles Code 2′ featured Ha Chun Hwa and Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany, Taeyeon,Yuri, and Seohyun as guests.

After finishing up promotions for “I Got a Boy“, Girls’ Generation will be in Japan for their Arena Tour until April 21st KST.

Sooyoung shows tears during ‘Strong Heart’ recording as she talks about her father

Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung showed tears while talking about her father’s eye condition during the recording for the upcoming episode of ‘Strong Heart‘.

During the recording for the last episode, Sooyoung opened up about her personal life, and couldn’t help but become overwhelmed by emotion as she discussed her father. “When my father made a visit to the hospital he found out there was a problem with his retina.”

She also explained how she and her members came to be ambassadors for a blindness cure campaign, ringing the hearts of the others on set.

The full story will be revealed through the final episode of ‘Strong Heart’ on the 12th.

YoonA finds her doppleganger in Malaysia?

Girls’ Generation’s YoonA has found her twin sister in Malaysia.

Recently, an online community posted pictures with the caption, “A Malaysian girl looks like YoonA” and became a trending topic. 

In the pictures, a Malaysian girl is wearing her traditional clothes and received considerable attention for her close resemblance to YoonA. The two appeared to have such similar features despite being from two different countries.

Netizens commented, “She looks just like YoonA”, “People will believe that she is Yoona”, “They really look alike” and more.

Girls’ Generaiton’s Tiffany opened up on her first love and first kiss for the first time on television during the latest episode of ‘Beatles Code 2’.

During the segment ‘Music 101’, Tiffany shared stories about her first love before singing Rihanna’s “We Found Love.” She shyly confessed, “My first love was an American that I met in high school.” 

“This is the first time I’m revealing this on television,” Tiffany continued. She then revealed that she had her first kiss with him and that she dated him for a couple years.
