[News] SNSD releases special ‘Star Collection Cards Vol. 2.5′
Having released their first and second collections back in January and June of 2010, SNSD unveiled ‘volume 2.5′ of their ‘Star Collections Cards’ merchandise.
This card collection is from an undisclosed photoshoot that showcases heartwarming images of the girls. Due to its small size, fans have nicknamed the collection a ‘mini photoshoot spread’.
These mini-cards have been a huge success – their first collection received over 100,000 orders in the first week, while the second collection (of the girls supporting the Red Devils during the World Cup) received 500,000 orders in the first week. Perhaps a million orders for volume 2.5?
SNSD’s 2.5 collection will contain 7 different card sets, and are currently being sold on Gmarket.

[News] Chae Yeon wants to be a SNSD member?
Singer Chae Yeon recently confessed that she would like to become a SNSD member.
On a recent recording of MBC every1’s ‘Super Junior Leeteuk and Yesung’s Love Chaser’, Chae Yeon admitted, “If I could join an idol group, I would choose to become a member of the group that all males worship over – SNSD.”
She continued to state that Taeyeon would be her rival, and when asked why, she replied, “I never had anyone else to compare with as a solo artist.”
The intriguing episode will be broadcasted this coming November 11th.
[News] SNSD receives a ‘Double Gold’ just 3 months after Japanese debut
Girl group sensation, SNSD, recently surpassed the 100,000 sales mark on the Japanese Oricon Charts for the second consecutive time!
As of November 9th on the Oricon’s ‘Weekly Singles Chart‘, SNSD’s second single ‘Gee‘ sold 13,320 copies in the 3rd week, and thus achieved the 100,000 milestone for accmulated sales.
What’s interesting to note here is that ‘Gee’ is gaining more popularity than their debut track ‘Genie‘. While ‘Genie’ took 8 weeks to surpass 100,000 sales, ‘Gee’ managed to overcome it in just 3.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) will bestow the group with a second ‘Gold‘ disk for ‘Gee’, in recognition of their phenomenal sales. Congratulations, SNSD!

SNSD’s new starcard collection is printed in smaller size , so this starcard collection is called by “Mini Photo Collection”.
1st Collection of SNSD Starcard was released on Last December, and around 100.000 packs were sold in the first week. 2nd Collection of SNSD Starcard was revealed on Last June during The World Cup season. the girls were wearing all Red clothes to support the National team. this 2nd Starcard Collection was sold around 500.000 packs on the first week.
