Lee Joon gives Tiffany a big hug

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon gave Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany a big hug to overcome his anxiety. 

On the April 24th episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart’, Lee Joon revealed his phobia of exchanging greetings with Girls’ Generation. He explained, “I’m just too shy to greet Girls’ Generation. If I were to smile while greeting them, I’m afraid that they might think I’m weird.”

Tiffany confirmed, “Everytime we meet one another on music programs, Lee Joon would avoid eye contacts with us and went out of sight.”

Eventually, Park Kyung Lim offered some advice to Lee Joon and demonstrated a way to greet Tiffany. As coached, Lee Joon approached Tiffany and greeted her happily with a big hug. He continued with a short “Gee” dance and ended with a respectful 90-degree bow. 

Tiffany reveals she gets stressed over airport fashion

Girls’ Generation member Tiffany confessed that she’s been under some stress because of “airport fashion“.

On April 24th, a staff member from SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘ shared that on the recent filming of the show, Tiffany revealed, “Before, I used to go to the airport without caring about what I wore. But as airport fashion started becoming a hot topic, I began to care more.”

She continued, “On the days that I dress up from head to toe, there are no reporters. But strangely enough, when I come back from a performance abroad with no makeup on while wearing slippers, I get a lot of pictures taken,” sharing her worries and frustrations about airport fashion.

In addition to Tiffany, the latest recording of ‘Strong Heart’ included guests such as Ivy, Lee Joon, Kim Na Young, and Park Kyung Lim.

Girls’ Generation unit Taetiseo reveals another teaser photo

Girls’ Generation‘s new unit Taetiseo has been revealing various teaser photos with a different member as the focus each time, and they have just unveiled their latest teaser image.

A representative from SM Entertainment revealed, “Starting with Taeyeon’s teaser today, the unit Taetiseo, who possess very colorful charms, will reveal a teaser featuring each member one by one. As Taetiseo’s new music and performance are still shrouded in mystery, the members’ teasers should amplify fans’ curiosity and expectations.”

Taetiseo’s digital mini album will be revealed through iTunes on April 29th, and will feature a booklet with different photos from that of the physical album. It will also include recordings of the members introducing their favorite tracks.

4月23日播出的《爱情雨》中，张根锡和允儿上演吻戏，两人之间的感情戏迅速发展。剧中，两人在喷泉旁先后上演了三次亲吻，被称为“三段喷泉热吻”，这是剧组为稳定4月17日上升到6.6%的收视率而做出的战略性安排，结果却没有得到预期的收效，全韩国收视率反而降到了5.2%。 对于张根锡与允儿的演技，外界清一色都是好评，认为两人的表现足以对得起韩流明星的身价。


然而，对于电视剧本身，评价却颇为苛刻，认为剧情非常老套，显而易见的情节发展和平面的人物角色令观众感到厌烦。甚至有分析认为，尹锡瑚导演至今还未摆脱10年前《冬季恋歌》中的感性套路。 某电视台相关者表示“这部剧让人感觉像是为国外市场制作的一样，不太符合国内观众的口味。


电视剧版权已经高价买往日本等地，获得了巨额收益，至于播出后会得到什么评价，尚无法预测”，“虽说期望越大，失望也就越大，但我们还是希望，这部剧能在国外获得良好口碑”，表示了遗憾心情。

Hyoyeon Joins Cast of 'Dancing With the Stars season 2'!

Hyoyeon will be joining MBC’s “Dancing With the Stars Season 2″, which will begin airing on April 27th. An MBC staff member stated, “After confirming her participation, Hyoyeon has been busy practicing. You will get to see a new side of Hyoyeon.”

Hyoyeon is one of the dancers in Girls’ Generation. Because of this, the producers have high expectations for her. A source stated, “As expectations are high, Hyoyeon has also been practicing a lot. It will be a chance for Hyoyeon to show off free dances unlike Girls’ Generation’s choreography.”

Other stars such as Tony An and actress Choi Yeo Jin will be joining Hyoyeon on the show. Recording for the first episode was finished on April 15th. The first episode of “Dancing With the Stars Season 2″ will air on April 27th at 9:55pm KST, and live broadcasts of the show will begin May 4th.

Girls’ Generation’s Jessica, who is being praised for her beauty, has been selected as one of the “10 Unbelievable Girls Who Look like Dolls” on the U.S. blog site Oddee.com.

In the article, Oddee praised Jessica saying, “Girls Generation‘s Jessica has impressed us once again with her doll-like beauty. Recently, an online community uploaded a picture of Jessica on set for a magazine shoot. Jessica's shoulder-length hair and perfect profile has her receiving praise for being as beautiful as a doll.”

Jessica was featured on the same list as famous doll-like beauties Venus Angelic, Dakota Rose, Lily Coles and Alodia Gosiengfiao.

TaeTiSeo reveals Taeyeon's teaser for "Twinkle"

Ahead of the official debut of Girls’ Generation first unit TaeTiSeo, a teaser video of member Taeyeon for their debut mini album “Twinkle” has been unveiled.

On April 25th, the teaser has been released via SM Entertainment’s official Youtube channel. The video features Taeyeon’s new look and appearance as well as the snippet of their brand new sound.

Starting with Taeyeon, the teaser videos which boasts Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo’s colorful charms will be revealed one by one starting today.

Meanwhile, all the tracks of Girls’ Generation TaeTiSeo’ mini album “Twinkle” will be first released through iTunes on April 29th and the album booklet and audio file of the members introducing the tracks will be provided only to those who buy the album on iTunes. 

Girls' Generation's 1st Japanese single 'Genie' certified 'Platinum' in Japan

Girls’ Generation’s 1st Japanese Single ‘Genie’ was certified ‘Platinum’ by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for ‘PC Download Singles Division’. According to RIAJ’s certification, any album or single that sells more than 250,000 copies will receive the ‘Platinum’ certification.

‘Genie’, released in September 2010, received its ‘Gold’ certification back in October 2010 and the fact that it has been upgraded to ‘Platinum’ is an indication of Girls’ Generation’s consistent popularity in Japan.

Currently, while Girls’ Generation members are having their individual activities, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun will be releasing a mini album ‘Twinkle’ as sub-unit called ‘TaeTiSeo’ on April 29th.

However, Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo’s music and performance is still very much a mystery up to this point and there is a growing curiosity among fans as days passed.

‘Love Rain’ full-length OST album released!

KBS‘ ‘Love Rain‘ released the drama’s full-length OST album on April 24th KST.

The album contains the song “Because It’s You“ by Girls’ Generation‘s Tiffany, whose fellow member YoonA plays a lead role. The ‘Love Rain’ OST album is reported to have had a record 20,000 pre-orders, showing the incredible popularity of the drama.

The ‘Love Rain’ OST features 12 tracks in all including ”Love Rain“, which is the theme song for Jang Geun Suk‘s character Inha, “Because It’s You”, and Na Yoon Gun‘s “Love Like Rain“.

Netizens who heard the news of the album’s release commented, “Finally ‘Love Rain’ OST released!! I waited so long, and I’m for sure going to put it on repeat,” “Like the songs’ atmosphere, I feel my heart get a little teary as well,” and “High quality OST just like the drama! It’s an OST that fits in perfectly with the lead actors’ skills.”
