Girls’ Generation will be putting away their trademark heels for “I Got A Boy“.
Girls’s Generation had always been famous for wearing high heels on stage, but this time the girls will be taking off their high heels in order to show off a more powerful performance for “I Got A Boy”.
The girls have already performed the song for their MBC comeback special, which was filmed on the 23rd, and everyone who attended the performance commented that the performance for the song is the most powerful for the group thus far.
SM Entertainment also emphasized, “It is a different song compared to the basic style that Girls’ Generation usually has shown. It’s a song that feels like a new challenge, and the song contains many musical styles and tempo changes. The addicting melody in the chorus is very memorable.
Some of the powerful choreography will be hinted at in the dance version teaser that will be released on the 28th KST.

Girls' Generation and Psy top Gallup Korea’s “The Most Outstanding Singer of the Year”

On December 28th, Psy and Girls’ Generation ranked in the upper tier in a survey for “The Most Outstanding Singer of the Year” conducted by Gallup Korea on 4,157 participants from the ages 13 to 59.

The surveys were conducted using the interview method during different periods of the year, namely from May 2nd to 16th, September 12th to 26th and November 15th to 30th.

It was no surprise that Psy came in first place (24.4%) this year with his hugely successful “Gangnam Style”. In 2012, Girls’ Generation (with a total votes of 19.8%), however, had little promotions as a group in Korea after “The Boys” in the previous year but instead, they had subunit activities (TaeTiSeo with “Twinkle”) and individual activities. Big Bang came in third with 9.5% followed by IU (6.9%) and Jang Yoon Jung (6.6%).

Psy’s “Gangnam Style” was also chosen as “The Best Song of the Year” followed by SISTAR’s “Alone” and Busker Busker’s “Cherry Blossom Ending” and TaeTiSeo’s “Twinkle”.

Meanwhile, Busker Busker and Ailee were voted to be the “Best Newcomers of the Year”.
