It was revealed earlier that EXO's Suho would be the next SM artist to appear as an actor on 'Prime Minister and I' by making cameo appearances.
SM Entertainment uploaded a picture of him with Girls' Generation's YoonA onto the official Twitter to show some SM love on the set of the drama. The two of the are cutely smiling while posing with V-signs.
On January 16th, Taeyeon and Tiffany will host the second half of the “28th Golden Disk Awards”, in which Girls’ Generation has been nominated in three categories: Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and the Popularity Award.
The awards ceremony will be held in the Grand Peace Palace at Kyung Hee University on January 16th, 2014, from 5:00 PM to 8:50 PM KST. Winners of the awards will be decided based on voting, album sales, and judges’ opinions.
Yuri has been selected to host the “3rd Gaon K-Pop Chart Awards” with actor Oh Sangjin. The “3rd Gaon K-Pop Chart Awards” will take place on February 12th at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul. The show will begin at 7 PM KST.
Girls’ Generation has been nominated in the “3rd Gaon K-Pop Chart Awards” alongside several other artists, including Cho Yongpil, PSY, Davichi, SHINee, and others. The full list of nominees may be found on the event’s official website. Fans with Android devices may vote for Girls’ Generation using the app for the award program found in the Google Play store.
In 2012, Taeyeon hosted the first annual “Gaon K-Pop Chart Awards” with Joo Younghoon, where she and Yoona accepted the “Special Oricon” award for Girls’ Generation. In 2013, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun attended the second annual “Gaon K-Pop Chart Awards” and received two awards for Girls’ Generation – TTS and “Twinkle”.
On January 23rd, Jessica will appear on an episode of “Happy Together 3″ with Jackie Chan. The episode will be a “Jackie Chan and Friends” special and will also feature Super Junior’s Siwon and Brown Eyed Girls’s Narsha in addition to the show’s regular cast.
Jessica met Jackie Chan at last year’s Huading Awards in Macau. She later posted two photos with the movie star on her Weibo account.
The “Jackie Chan and Friends” special on “Happy Together 3″ with Jessica will be recorded on January 18th.
On January 12th, Seohyun appeared on SBS’s “Fashion King Korea“, a fashion program for which Tiffany is one of the eight competitors. Previously, Tiffany had been hinting that one of the Girls’ Generation members would be taking to the runway in the seventh episode. This member turned out to be none other than Seohyun.
Tiffany and her competition partner, Ji Ilgeun, worked together to present outfits that would fulfill the episode’s “Newcomer Look” mission. This mission challenged the teams to come up with fashion designs for people making a “fresh new start” in the year 2014. Seohyun, of course, modeled Tiffany’s outfit flawlessly.
Girls’ Generation’s official Twitter account later posted a picture of two polaroids: one of Tiffany and the other of Seohyun. The photo was accompanied by a message hoping that fans had enjoyed the seventh episode.

On January 11th, the “Girls’ Generation’s World Tour – Girls & Peace” made a stop in Bangkok, Thailand. Held at the IMPACT Arena, this marked the first stop of Girls’ Generation’s world tour in 2014.
SM Entertainment uploaded a short video message from Girls’ Generation as the members said a few encouraging words in preparation for the Bangkok concert. Before the concert began, Hyoyeon posted a new photo from the rehearsal on her Instagram account to express her excitement. Yuri also took to Instagram, posting a handwritten cue card in Thai, Korean, and English. The message reads, “Let’s have a lot of fun!”
Before the concert kicked off, the nine ladies held a short press conference. Wearing the usual pink performance outfits, the members answered a few questions posed to them by the MCs. Photos from the press conference can be found by visiting Soshified’s Photos Section.
The concert kicked off with the usual opening and setlist, as the girls performed “Hoot”, “Animal”, “The Boys”, “I Got A Boy”, and many other fan favorites as the concert went on. During the first introduction, the girls greeted all the fans and even spoke a little bit of Thai.
During the concert, SONEs were able to show their love for Girls’ Generation as many fan events were prepared and executed. For “Say Yes”, SONEs did a two-part event in which fans first held up a sign saying, “LET ME TH?NK”, and then brought out different signs with “YES!” printed on them.
Taeyeon would later post two photos on her Instagram to show her appreciation for the projects, specifically the rainbow ocean, which lit up the venue during “Promise” and “Baby Baby”, and the“ALWAYS HERE” sign event, which could be seen during “Forever”.
Fans in attendance would also illuminate the stadium with the iconic pink ocean and sing “Complete” for the girls, to which Taeyeon and Tiffany exclaimed, “So good!”
In between performances, Seohyun gave fans a small preview of her upcoming musical, “Moon That Embraces the Sun“, by singing what she’s been practicing so diligently for. Of course, her unnies were there to give her the type of support fans have come to expect, holding up their microphones around her face.
It’s become a custom for fans to greet as well as send the girls off at the airport. Taeyeon uploaded a video on her Instagram account to thank the fans for the tremendous support and for coming to say farewell to the members even after the concert.
Sunny also later posted a photo of herself and Yoona on Instagram. Her caption reads, “The Thailand concert was fun #ggtour”.

On January 14th, Yuri attended the “Miss Granny” VIP premiere at CGV theaters in Seoul. For heroutfit, Yuri chose to match a dark coat and shirt with tiger print pants. She certainly stood out among those in attendance as she posed for a number of pictures for members of the press media.
