SMTOWN Live Concert in Paris to be Broadcast Worldwide by Facebook and YouTube!

Expected to meet Explosive Response from Global Fans!

Highlights of ‘VISIT KOREA YEAR 2010-2012’ SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS will be broadcast in worldwide through Facebook and YouTube on June 10~11th (Paris time).

The concert highlights will be broadcast through YouTube SMTOWN channel (www.youtube.com/smtown) right after the concert. In addition, photos of SM artists such as TVXQ!, SuperJunior, Girls` Generation, SHINee and f(x) will be updated continuously on Facebook SMTOWN page (www.facebook.com/smtown). Pictures will be taken at the airport, concert rehearsal, concert scenes, and artist’s daily life.

Especially, after the decision of the tour in Paris, countries in Europe and South America heated up by organizing the relay of various flash mob events asking for SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR. To meet global fans expectations, S.M.Entertainment decided to provide opportunity which lets fans in the world enjoy the video highlights and photos from the concert.

Facebook SMTOWN has received nearly 170,000 ‘Likes’ in a week of its launch on the 1st of June and there is a growing influx of users who speaks English, Spanish, French and other Asian languages from different countries. This proves the global power of SM and SM artists, again.

SNSD’s ‘crazy schedule’ alarms fans

Fans have been expressing their alarm over SNSD’s schedules for the months of June and July, especially after member Sunny fainted with exhaustion recently at a Japanese concert.

The girls have an “MJ Presents SNSD” special on June 8th. They’ll perform in Paris on the 10th and 11th, and head back to Japan on the 12th for NHK’s “Music Japan“.

Afterwards, SNSD will resume their tour activities for the 17th, 18th, 28th, and 29th; their tour schedule expands into July with stops on the 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 17th, and 18th, for a total of 10 concerts. On July 23rd and 24th, SNSD will be heading back to Korea for another two-day concert.

On July 13th, the girls are scheduled to perform at KBS’s “Music Bank” at the Tokyo Dome, as well as at a MTV VMAJ performance on June 25th. Any other day without an official activity planned has been revealed to be rehearsal days.

Fortunately, some of it seems to be pre-recorded, but netizens are still voicing their concerns over the girls’ health, and are nicknaming the schedule as ‘the crazy schedule’. Fans commented, “They are Hallyu stars, but it’s a bit much”, “This is excessive”, and “Please let them rest.”

SNSD to release six-part DVD series, “Paradise in Phuket”

Sones get your wallets ready, because SNSD will be releasing a DVD series titled, “All About Girls’ Generation ‘Paradise in Phuket‘”!

Produced by SM Entertainment and SBS Contents Hub, the DVDs are meant to be like a mini-photobook that contains everything about the girls from their debut to the present time.

The DVDs will also include special clips taken from Phuket, as well as all their hit music videos, an unreleased version of “Hoot” with individual member versions, album jacket and music video making-of films, and performances from SBS shows such as “Inkigayo” and “Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate.”

Whew! Although that’s already quite the list, the six-part DVD still has much more left to show, as it also contains a variety show SNSD filmed in Phuket titled “Real Treasure“, a music video for “Echo“, and self-camera clips of each member talking about one another, their families, and their fans.

“All About Girls’ Generation ‘Paradise in Phuket’ is scheduled for release at the end of the month, so stay tuned for more updates!

"All About Girls' Generation" DVD/Bluray Announced

SM Entertainment announced today that the "All About Girls' Generation 'Paradise in Phuket' " DVD co-produced by SBS Contents Hub will be released at the end of June.

The DVD will contain a history of Girls' Generation from their beginning until now. On the DVD will be all of Girls' Generation's music videos along with unpublished Hoot member-specific music video versions, and behind-the-scenes videos of album jacket photo shoots and music video filming. The DVD spans 6 discs, will be 715 minutes long, will come with a mini photo album, and is expected to draw a hot reaction from fans. The girls' appearance on Kim Jungeun's Chocolate will also be included on the DVD.

Also, a Girls' Generation variety program called "Real Treasure", which was filmed in Phuket, will be included along with self video cam footage of the members enjoying Phuket. The girls also included messages to their family, friends, and fans. Another special included treat is a music video to the Girls' Generation song "Echo".

A Bluray version is also scheduled to be released in addition to the DVD, though the release date for the Bluray has yet to be announced.

The First-Ever to Record the Highest Sales of the First Album as a Foreign Artist!
First-Ever Korean Girl-Group to Rank 1st Place on the Oricon Weekly Chart!

Girls’ Generation is writing new Oricon history.

Girls’ Generation sold 232,000 copies of ‘GIRLS’ GENERATION’ on the first day of release and pushed themselves to the peak of Oricon Weekly Album Chart.

Girls’ Generation was the first-ever foreign artist to record the highest sales of their first album and the first-ever Korean girl-group to rank the 1st place on the Oricon Weekly chart. They are now proving themselves as the Asia No.1 girl-group.

Especially, Girls’ Generation is the second foreign female group to have a debut album ranked No. 1 in its first week of sales which had not occurred in 8 years and 3 months (since t.A.T.u.'s debut single). Additionally, Girls’ Generation ranked the 1st place on the day of release so these remarkable activities were expected.

Furthermore, on June 7th, Oricon News website reported that "Girls’ Generation is the first ever female foreign group to grab No.1 in their first week of sales with 230,000 copies sold."

Girls’ Generation is also attracting Japanese fans by giving 14 Japan Arena tour concerts in six Japanese cities and performing in front of 140,000 fans. Therefore, the Girls’ Generation-fever in Japan is expected to grow more intense.

Meanwhile, GIRLS` GENERATION is scheduled to attend ‘MTV VIDEO MUSIC AID JAPAN’ which will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, Japan on June 25th.
