If Only Girls' Generation And TVXQ Would Appear On Immortal Music Classics Season 2...

With many idols being confirmed to appear in KBS 2TV’s ‘Immortal Music Classics Season 2′, anticipation for the show continues to rise. 4Men’s Shin Yong Jae has been added to the list of participants, foreshadowing a fierce competition to come.

The line up of ‘Immortal Music Classics Season 2′ has been amazing. MBLAQ’s G.O., FT Island’s Lee Hong Gi and 2PM’s Junsu have been added to the cast, making the show a stage where popular idols will battle it out in a fight of ego and pride.

But netizens are still feeling a hint of disappointment at this star-studded list . It is because there has been no news of Girls’ Generation or TVXQ, the royalty of the K-pop scene, joining the show.

Regarding this, a representative of Girls’ Generation and TVXQ’s agency stated, “Though it would be great if TVXQ and Girls’ Generation were added to the cast of ‘Immortal Music Classics Season 2′, it is impossible to make changes in their schedule for the show.” Girls’ Generation have concerts in Japan till late July and will be returning to Korea for more concerts. TVXQ are also busy with their domestic and overseas schedules. U-Know Yunho is already participating in SBS’ ‘Kiss&Cry’ and his appearance in the drama ‘Poseidon’ is still yet to be confirmed.

Regardless, netizens are still hoping that the two groups will appear on the show. Most were seen saying, “We hope that TVXQ or Girls’ Generation will appear on ‘Immortal Music Classics Season 2′ to complete the show’s dream team.”

SNSD reveals 3D version of “Run Devil Run” MV

The Hottest Stars of the Year, Who’s leading on the 2011 Mnet 20’s Choice Awards online polls?

The one and only awards ceremony open to the public, the “2011 Mnet 20’s Choice Awards” will take place on July 7th.

As “20’s Choice Awards” picks the hottest stars in every field, it’s the ceremony that top stars want to be recognized for as it signifies that they swept the hearts of the public for the first half of 2011.

Who will be chosen as the hottest stars of 2011?

The awards are broken down into 20 categories and the winner for each category will be formulated from a survey of people in their 20s (50%), a professional judge panel (20%), and online polls (30%).

The winners are yet to be chosen, but by looking at the current results from online polls, fans can estimate who the honorable winners may be; however since the online polls only weighs 30% of the whole process, there’s a good probability the ultimate result could be different.

Let’s look at the current online poll results below.

Leading the ‘Male Drama Star‘ poll by a huge margin, the hottest star of 2011 is likely to be Cha Seung Won, who played Dok Go Jin in “The Greatest Love”, capturing the female hearts watching the drama. As of July 1st, Cha Seung Won is leading the poll with more than 130,000 votes, where Lee Min Ho is following behind in distant 2nd place with about 79,000 votes.

The soaring popularity of Cha Seung Won is shown as he is leading the ‘Hottest Six-Pack‘ poll, as well.

In the ‘Female Drama Star‘ poll, Yoon Eun Hye, who is starring in, SBS’s ‘Lie To Me’ is leading with the number 1 position with more than 260,000 votes. Gong Hyo Jin is following closely at 2nd place with more than 220,000 votes. For the category of ‘Movie Star‘, Kang So Ra, who starred in, “Sunny“ is leading.

As for idol groups, 2PM is leading the ‘CF Star‘ poll, where as miss A is leading for ‘New Star’. TVXQleads in ‘Performance‘, and finally, Big Bang along with f(x) are competing for the top spot in the ‘Trend Musician‘ poll.

MBC ‘Infinity Challenge’’s Jung Hyung Don tops the ‘Variety Star‘ poll with his ‘crazy existence’.“BalleriNO” of KBS 2TV’s ‘Gag Concert’ is at the lead of the ‘Best Gag’ poll, in which the top comedy corner is selected.

In ‘Sports Star‘, English Premier League’s ‘Blue Dragon’, Lee Chung Yong is leading the poll while G.NA is leading the ‘Hottest S-Line’ poll.

SNSD’s Seohyun is the top ‘Campus Goddess‘, where as Jung Il Woo is the ‘Trendy Guy‘.

f(x)’s Pinocchio is leading the ‘Online Song‘ poll, G-Dragon is currently the top ‘Style Icon‘, and 2PMis leading both ‘Hallyu Star‘ and ‘Pocari Sweat Hot Balance Star‘ polls.

‘20’s Voice‘, the poll created by the people in their 20’s themselves shows that UV is leading the poll, proving their popularity with the generation of people in their 20’s.

The online polls will officially close on July 6th.

Don Spike : "Taeyeon is the most desirable idol"

Famous Arranger and Composer, Don Spike thinks Taeyeon is the most desirable idol.

Meeting with reporters at CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong on June 29th, Don Spike said, “Taeyeon can really sing well. Although I’ve never seen her singing live before, I thought she has an outstanding vocal after listening to her recorded song”. Don Spike was the arranger for Kim BumSoo-Taeyeon’s duet ‘Different’.

Don Spike revealed, “During recording, you can hear a singer’s actual voice clearly. Without other effects or mixing works done, I was hugely impressed by Taeyeon’s singing. Her techniques, feel of the song and everything are excellent”.

He added, “As an arranger, if you listen to the vocals, i get my own feelings about them. Listening to singers’ vocals everyday, there are always concerns on how to ‘dress them up’.However, Taeyeon’s voice seems to ‘fit any clothes’”.

SNSD and BoA to attend 'Summer Sonic 2011'

On June 30th, the line-up for the event which includes SNSD and BoA was published on Summer Sonic’s official website. BoA will be the first solo female singer from Korea to attend the prestigious festival.

‘Summer Sonic 2011′ will be held on August 13th and 14th in Tokyo and Osaka where there will be 2 performances for each venue. BoA is scheduled to perform on August 13th in Tokyo alongside Avril Lavigne, Japanese hip-hop group, Rip Slyme, Perfume, etc. SNSD on the other hand will be performing on August 14th in Tokyo as special guests.

Some of the big names who will be making their appearances on ‘Summer Sonic 2011′ are The Strokes, Red Hot Chilipeppers, Panic! At The Disco, Korn, X-Japan, etc.

SNSD’s “ECHO” MV revealed

We previously reported that SM Entertainment would release a special DVD, All About Girls’ Generation “Paradise in Phuket” and included in this package would be the music video for “ECHO.”

Well, fans have received the DVD and uploaded the MV to YouTube. “ECHO” was a special track that was included in the Run Devil Run repackaged album.
