SM Entertainment: “SNSD has no plans for a drama…”

Recent rumors about the nine members of SNSD all staring as the lead for an upcoming drama have been shot down by their agency, SM Entertainment.

On February 2nd, SM Entertainment stated through a phone call with Money Today Star News, “There are no plans of them being cast in a drama.”

The representative continued, “The members of SNSD will focus on their group activities in Korea, and again they currently have no plans of being cast in a drama.”

Trainer revealed SNSD’s diet!

On SBS lunar new year special of ‘스타 뭐하세요 (What Are Stars Doing?)‘ aired on February 3rd, some food-related matters concerning celebrities were revealed. ‘What are Stars Doing?’ is a segment of the entertainment information program ‘One Night TV Entertainment‘.

Meat is the most favorited food among stars. Drama ‘My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho’ starring Shin MinA contributed to the increase in beef consumption. Besides that, according to ‘Stars You Would Like To Dine With‘ survey, Won Bin came in 3rd. SNSD were ranked 2nd while Kang Ho Dong took the no.1 spot.

On the program, SNSD’s trainer, Kim Jihoon said, “SNSD’s daily diet is about 1,500 kCal. They take seasonal herbs, 5 cuts of brocolli, grilled chicken breast meat 100 gram, 150g brown rice, etc. They usually eat well”.

Drama rumor for SNSD?

There were news articles circulating around the entertainment industry suggesting SNSD will be starring in a drama adapted from a popular Japanese manga.

In reaction to this, SNSD’s management agency, SM Entertainment has dismissed the news as a rumor. From a telephone conversation with Money Today Star News on February 2nd, SM Entertainment said, “There is no plan to cast them in a drama“.

The representative added, “As SNSD will be focusing on domestic activities, there is no plan for them to star in drama“.

Recently, the photo of TVXQ’s leader U-Know Yunho and SNSD’s maknae Seohyun in uniform had surfaced on online community boards.

However, idol stars are usually not selected for school uniform CF. The two of them became the models for a school contest’s printed ads targeting at teenagers.

At that time, U-Know Yunho had just debuted with TVXQ while Seohyun was still a trainee and a secondary school student. Seohyun’s long hair and big eyes plus Yunho’s good student image with a book in his hand added more ‘young and fresh’ feel to the ad.
