Girls’ Generation has put their unwavering popularity on display once again by selling out more than half the prepared supply of their special postage stamps!
Girls’ Generation was recently named the first ever celebrity to be used as an image on a new collection of postage stamps released by the Korea Post. In recognition of their role as leaders of the global K-Pop boom, the Korea Post chose Girls’ Generation as their newest models in addition to celebrating their fifth anniversary since debut.
The stamps went on sale on August 9th, and just an hour into the sales, over half of the prepared stock have been revealed to be sold out with people lining up to reserve their sets.
A total of 14 different postage stamps can be found in a set, including nine individual member pictures from ‘The Boys‘, which also include signatures, and past album jacket covers like ‘Gee‘ and ‘Oh!‘.
