Fans of YoonA and Jang Geun Suk donate rice to celebrate "Love Rain"

 

Girls' Generation's YoonA and Hallyu star Jang Geun Suk's fans made headlines after donating rice wreaths to congratulate both stars on their KBS’ upcoming drama "Love Rain."

Ahead of the scheduled press conference for the drama, various fan clubs of Yoona and Jang Geun Suk from all over the world dropped by at the conference site to perform a kind act by donating rice.

"Love Rain", starring YoonA and Jang Geun Suk, is about a man and woman who meet in college in 1970 and their love story. It is a fantasy melodrama and Jang Geun Suk and Yoona will play dual roles. Jang Geun Suk plays ’70s art student named ‘Seo In Ha’, and his son in the year 2012, a free-spirited photographer named ‘Seo Jun’. YoonA, on the other hand, will be playing the innocent ’70s campus goddess ‘Kim Yoon Hee’, as well as her daughter in 2012, ‘Ha Na’.

The drama will premiere on KBS on March 26 at 9:55PM KST.

Fashion King casts Appear on 'Midnight TV Entertainment'!




In the “Star Fast Ball Interview” corner of SBS’s “Midnight TV Entertainment”, Yuri revealed her confidence in her physical appearance.
On this day, Yuri received a rather strong question from Yoo Ah-in, who asked, “Do you think you are pretty?”
At this, Yuri said, “Honestly, I don’t think I’m not pretty,” without a second of hesitation.
Yuri, who then seemed to be embarrassed at the others’ reactions to her honesty, humbly added, “I see flaws every time I look at myself.”
On the topic of the popularity of Yoo Ah-in and Lee Jehoon with Girls’ Generation, Yuri said, “They were really curious. They started asking me about them as soon as I got back from film shoots (for “Fashion King”). They like the chicness of Yoo Ah-in. They said Lee Jehoon was just handsome.”
On the other hand, in the “Vent Out Talk” section, Yuri declared her determination for the drama “Fashion King” by saying, “It may be awkward because this is my first attempt in acting (in a lead role), but I shall do my best if you can view it positively instead of negatively.”

Cast members Yoo Ah InShin Se KyungLee Jae Hoon and Yuri from the new SBS drama series ‘Fashion King‘ were interviewed on the March 21st episode of SBS ‘One Night of TV Entertainment‘.
Yoo Ah In asked fellow co-star Yuri if she herself thought she was pretty and Yuri honestly answered, “I don’t think that I’m ugly…
And in regards to how popular her male co-stars Yoo Ah In and Lee Jae Hoon were among her fellow group members, Yuri remarked, “They have a lot of fans. They always ask about them when I come home after filming.”
They seem to like Yoo Ah In’s chic image, and they say Jae Hoon is just simply attractive,” she explained.

Girls' Generation to focus on individual activities

 

After wrapping up their promotion for third full-length album "The Boys", Girls' Generation will now be concentrating on their individual activities in the first part of 2012.

A representative from SM Entertainment stated, "Girls’ Generation plans to put more weight on individual activities for the beginning of the year. Yuri and Sooyoung’s transformations into actresses are a part of this plan."

Yuri has been casted for SBS drama "Fashion King" while Sooyoung will be acting under her real name Choi SooYoung on tvN medical drama "The Third Hospital." Yoona, who has been building the most stable acting career out of the members, will be taking on two roles for the KBS2 drama "Love Rain".

Members TaeyeonSeoHyun and Tiffany will be taking their hosting activities on MBC music program "Show! Music Core." 

Sunny and Hyoyeon will continue appearing on KBS 2TV show program "Invincible Youth2." In addition, Sunny has also been busy as the MC of SBS MTV "Music Island" and the musical "Cats."

Meanwhile, Jessica will be taking a break after wrapping up with her drama KBS 2TV "Wild Romance." 

Girls' Generation heads to Malaysia for the first time!

 

In conjunction with the F1 Malaysian Grand Prix this weekend, Girls’ Generation will be joining a list of international artists to perform at the upcoming ‘TWIN TOWERS @LIVE 2012′ concert at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur on March 23rd!
Headlining the first of the two-day free-to-public concert, Girls’ Generation will be joined by Nicole Scherzinger, ex-lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls, Malaysian artistes James Baum, Reshmonu and DJ Nadine while day 2 consists of international artistes Orianthi and Kelis, along with Malaysia’s Faizal Tahir and DJ Nikki.
This exciting event also marks the first ever Girls’ Generation appearance and performance in the country.

Kuala Lumpur, 21 March 2012 – The forthcoming TWIN TOWERS @LIVE 2012 is proud to announce the addition of Greek Australian rock guitarist sensation Orianthi to the artiste line-up set to perform at the base of the PETRONAS Twin Towers.
The first of the two-day free-to-public concert will see American singer, songwriter and dancer Nicole Scherzinger joined by Korean pop girl-group Girls’ Generation, Malaysia’s top artistes James Baum, Reshmonu and DJ Nadine will take to the stage on Friday, 23 March 2012. Taking to the stage as the show’s host is model, actress and TV personality Jojo Struys.
Joining the show’s A-list cast of international artistes, Orianthi will take to the stage alongside American R&B/Dance star Kelis on the second of two shows on Saturday 24 March 2012. Also performing on that night are multi-award winning Malaysian star Faizal Tahir and DJ Nikki. The show will be hosted by Miss Universe Malaysia 2011, Deborah Henry.

Dubbed as one of the world’s best promising and talented female rock guitarist, Orianthi has received numerous accolades since being selected to be Michael Jackson’s lead guitarist for his ill-fated tour in 2009. Having performed with legendary artistes like Prince and Eric Clapton, she has even opened for Steve Vai. An accomplished performer, in 2011 Orianthi was announced as Alice Cooper’s new guitarist, becoming the first female member of the band. She comments, “I am excited about coming to perform in Malaysia at the TWIN TOWERS @LIVE 2012 for the very first time. To be able to come back and visit the country and to play right here in the heart of Kuala Lumpur at the base of one of the world’s most famous towers is definitely an experience I am looking forward too!”
Taking to the turntables at the TWIN TOWERS @LIVE 2012 are two of the country’s top and accomplished DJ’s. Sporting their own unique style of entertainment; established model and Miss Universe Malaysia 2010 DJ Nadine (Nadine Ann Thomas) is set to perform on Friday, while DJ Nikki will bring her versatile, fresh and exciting set to the stage on Saturday.

The concert is free to members of the public in the public access area. There are ticketed zones which can be obtained via several channels.
Purchase RM150 worth of merchandise at the 2012 Formula 1™ PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix Showcase at the concourse level of Suria KLCC and be entitled to two (2) Fan Zone tickets. Spend RM300 worth of merchandise and be in the running for four (4) Fan Zones tickets. Tickets are available for both concert days. Subject to availability.
Partial Road Closure Announcement
In preparation for the TWIN TOWERS @LIVE 2012, the concert management in collaboration with the police and Kuala Lumpur City Hall wish to inform of partial road closures along several roads within the immediate vicinity of the concert venue.
The scheduled partial closure will take place from 5.00p.m to 3.00a.m on 23rd and 24th March and will affect the following roads:
1. The intersection of Jalan Ampang and Persiaran KLCC, closest to Maxis Tower
2. Main intersection of Jalan Ampang, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng and Jalan P Ramlee
3. Jalan P Ramlee from the main intersection towards the intersection with Jalan Pinang
4. The intersection of Jalan Pinang and Persiaran KLCC
5. Persiaran KLCC infront of the two towers
Note: Members of the public will still be able to utilise alternative roads leading to Jalan Sultan Ismail.
Please follow instructions by the traffic police.

Anticipation rises for the 3rd episode of ‘Fashion King’ after Yuri’s kiss scene preview


 
The preview for Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri and actor Lee Jae Hoon‘s kiss scene has drawn attention.
SBS ‘Fashion King’ aired its second episode on March 20th and at the end, a preview of the next episode was shown.
In the preview, Jung Jae Hyuk (Lee Jae Hoo) and Choi Anna (Yuri) are sitting and facing each other, when Jae Hyuk pulls Anna torwards him as if to kiss her.
In the second episode, Jung Jae Hyuk and Choi Anna are ex-lovers who met again in New York. The two ended up meeting again because Jae Hyuk came to scout Anna, who is the head designer for a luxury brand.
Jae Hyuk tried to scout Anna saying, “You’re good. No matter how good you are in America, how far can you possibly go? Don’t do work that will make someone else happy. Work together with me instead.”
To this, Anna coldly replied, “Aren’t you a stranger?”
Although there is strong tension in their relationship, because of the unexpected kiss scene that was shown in the preview, viewers are in high anticipation as to what happened between them to lead to that scene.
‘Fashion King’s rating for their second episode dropped by 1.1% with their first episode having a rating of 10% and the second episode having 8.9%.

Girls' Generation to perform at Twin Towers @ Live 2012 in Malaysia

 

This Friday night will certainly be a delightful and unforgettable one for Malaysian SONEs as Girls’ Generation finally set their feet in Malaysia for the Twin Towers @Live 2012. The concert will be held at Petronas Twin Towers KLCC, on the main road on March 23rd and 24th. The event is free and open to the public.

According to “The Star” and “New Straits Times”, the girls will be performing on Friday March 23rd. Following the trends in Malaysian concerts, international artists will not perform until the last few acts. Local singers will also be performing along with other international acts such as OrianthiNicole Scherzinger and American R&B star Kelis.

Although the announcement was made with only three days’ notice, Malaysian SONEs are excited to get a chance to greet Girls’ Generation. They are preparing a special paper event like those from the fan events for the 2nd Asia Tour. SONEs will hold up papers saying, “Finally, you’re here ♥”, after the girls finish their first song as a way to show their appreciation for Girls’ Generation finally coming to Malaysia after almost five years.
