‘Banmal Song’ may not be released officially afterall
The ‘Banmal Song’ was composed and sung by Seohyun and Yonghwa on MBC’s ‘We Got Married’. The music and the lyrics for the chorus was written by Yonghwa while Seohyun helped to complete some other parts of the lyrics. The couple uploaded the ‘Banmal Song’ video clip on Youtube and to date, it has recorded more than a million views.
However, despite its popularity, this song might not be released officially. On January 5th, CN BLUE’s agency told Newsen, “There will not be a duet. Even if CN BLUE plan to release it as their own song, the part of the lyrics Seohyun composed will not be included”.
The duet between the ‘couple’ is rather impossible at the moment in view of SNSD and CN BLUE’s activities. Nevertheless, there have been talks among netizens about the release of the ‘Banmal Song’ on various sites.
A representative in charge of MBC’s ‘We Got Married’ said, “The song was composed based on Yonghwa and Seohyun’s feeling of being in love. That is why the song is so meaningful to them”.
Meanwhile, on the episode of ‘We Got Married’ which will be aired on January 8th, Seohyun will be making a trip to Yonghwa’s hometown, Busan to meet his mother for the first time. During the meeting, the ‘mother-in-law’ mentioned some of Seohyun’s favorite, the seafood kimchi and fist-sized fermented bean paste stew. Make sure you catch the goguma couple on January 8th to find out their reactions.

It’s within their grasp!
World domination that is…
Now this isn’t necessarily news per se, but at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) taking place this instance in Las Vegas; Samsung, South Korea’s largest company is showcasing their latest range of gizmos and gadgets. So what does this have to do with SNSD and a global takeover you ask?
Well there’s this special relationship that SNSD have with Samsung, and currently running on massive screens at the CES Samsung booth, is HD footage of none other than our beloved nine.
But thats not all, Samsung’s new range of 3D LED TV’s on show also have clips of SNSD looping on them too:
SNSD can make any TV look good!
At the world’s largest technology-related trade show and in view of the industry’s biggest and best, as well as the world’s media, this is fantastic exposure for the girls, and will without doubt generate even further interest for those unfamiliar with Soshidom.
Unfortunately, CES is not open to the public and therefore most of us will probably not get a chance to witness the beauty of the girls on the latest standard of High Definition, but at least we know they are one step closer to taking over the world right?
Tidbit: That Samsung 3D LED TV is 75 inches!!! It makes me want to rip out the TV/monitor I’m using to write this post up, and throw it into the backyard..
SNSD likely to be selected as the Asian CF models for Intel
Although the agreement as well as terms between the two parties are unknown, it is believed that Intel is including SNSD as the substantial and significant part of their promotion and advertising plan in the Asian region.
On January 5th, Intel unveiled its latest processor called ‘Sandy Bridge’ at the ‘CES 2011′ in Las Vegas and they are preparing for a large-scale marketing exercise. SNSD are expected to be announced as the main model of the promotional activities.
The advertising contract between Intel and SNSD is seen as a rather unusual and rare ‘phenomenon’ considering the fact that Intel is largely targeting corporate customers and practices B2B (Business to Business) marketing where celebrities/artistes’ involvement in its advertising activities is rare. However, it will be interesting to see how this global marketing strategy could promote not only the product from a world-known international IT corporation but also the Korean culture to the world through one of Asia’s most popular girl group, SNSD.
Utilizing SNSD’s popularity, Intel plans to maximize its brand loyalty and consumers’ interest in their products thus, strengthening their position in the Asian market.
However, when asked about the content of the promotional and advertising plan, Intel refused to disclose any details and replied, “we could not confirm”. Intel’s agreement with SNSD is expected to be officially announced on January 10th.

This musical project with Intel was really fun and interesting. When we heard about Intel, the famous ‘Bong’ sound came to our minds automatically”. On January 18th, SNSD will also be taking part in the launch of Intel’s new product.
During the launch, besides introducing Intel’s ’2nd Generation Intel® Core™ processor’ to about 1000 customers, there will also be various events where SNSD’s new song will be revealed.

Oppa and Samchon fans have spoken!
Why won’t Yong Hwa’s “Banmal Song” be released as a duet with Seohyun?
With C.N Blue’s Yong Hwa’s solo track, the “Banmal Song” from MBC’s “We Got Married”, set to make an official release on January 14th, many fans of the “YongSeo” couple have expressed their curiosity and disappointment as to why the song is not being released as a duet with SNSD’s Seo Hyun.
“We thought it was appropriate to release the song as something that Yong Hwa has been personally preparing for a long time instead of it being related to ‘We Got Married’,” stated Kang Goong PD.
He continued, “It’s true that he was inspired by the show, but it is a song Yong Hwa personally devoted time to. As a producer, I’m just thankful that we were able to unveil it through the broadcast. Seo Hyun is also extremely happy about the official release of the ‘Banmal Song’.”
The “Banmal Song” is a self-composed song by Yong Hwa that was inspired by the memories he’s shared with SNSD’s Seo Hyun as a ‘married couple’ on “We Got Married”.
