Girls’ Generation fans donate 8 tons of rice


Girls’ Generation fans donated 8 tons (17,637 lbs) of rice.
The rice was donated to help feed a total of 66,400 people in need. The rice has been steadily collected by fans with donations coming from 3 tons (6,614 lbs) for YoonA‘s “Love Rain“, 3 tons for Sunny‘s ‘Catch Me if You Can‘, 1.46 tons (3,219 lbs) for Tiffany‘s ‘Fame‘, and 540 kgs (1,190 lbs) forSooyoung‘s “The Third Hospital” to total up to 8 tons.
A representative from Gangnam-gu was thankful for the gesture and stated, “We’re very thankful for the warm hand that came to help those in need from Girls’ Generation and their fans.
The rice will be donated to the elderly living by themselves and the severely disabled.

Girls’ Generation releases holiday fragrance candle



After launching its own brand of perfume ‘GIRL’ earlier in the year, Girls’ Generation has also launched a line of scented candles in collaboration with the fashion magazine ‘1st Look’.

The new scented candle will be sold for this holiday season until the end of December. The fragrances of the candle was created by Gerard Anthony, who made the product with Girls’ Generation as the inspiration.

The three fragrances for this holiday collection are; Lily Magnolia, Wisteria, and Delphinium. Lily Magnolia has chic and sophisticated scent and Wisteria has sweet and lovely scents. Delphinium has powdery and romantic scent.

The limited edition products are priced at around 40,000 won ($36) and ‘GIRL’ perfume will also be sold for around 60,000 won.
