Tiffany hints of new Japanese single in summer
In an interview with JoongAng Daily at Music Bank’s waiting room on April 4th, Tiffany hinted of Girls’ Generation’s new Japanese single in this coming summer. She went on to describe the single as the most difficult choreography in history even though the movements are not huge but because of the fast beats of the song, which is energy draining.
Meanwhile, Tiffany also mentioned her thoughts about doing a drama. She said that she has not done one before so she has no confidence in the aspect and she said she needs to train more to improve her acting.
However, her participation in musicals has enabled her to learn a lot and she has experienced the fun of acting through it as well.
Seohyun talks about performing as Girls' Generation's unit group!
Seohyun expressed her thoughts about the 3-member unit group, Girls’ Generation-TaeTiSeo’s activities.
On April 5th, while meeting up with reporters, Seohyun said, “It’s new and exciting to carry out promotional activities as a unit group officially for the first time. The responsibility for the three of us to cover the stage exists just as when we performed as nine members.”
She added, “When all 9 of us were having activities, we were really noisy but now with only the three of us, it’s really quiet in the waiting room. I think when there are 9 of us, there seems to be a little more energy.”
Seohyun continued, “After watching the music video, the members thought that it’s much more beautifully-produced than what Girls’ Generation had done in the past and said, “We’re turning into your fans”, showing their support for us.”
Lastly, Seohyun said, “While we try to enjoy our activities (for TaeTiSeo) from the very beginning to the end, I think the experience will be a fun one as well. I hope that we will be receiving as much love as the hard work that we’re putting in.”
TaeTiSeo : Girls' Generation became closer despite busy individual activities!
TaeTiSeo members revealed that they have become closer to the other Girls’ Generation members.
While meeting up with OSEN recently, TaeTiSeo said, “Due to a lot of individual activities, it’s hard for us to meet one another nowadays. As we have always been interacting with one another through chat rooms on our smartphones, we’ve become much stronger.”
Taeyeon said, “Having said that, among the members, we’ve been saying words that show we miss one another frequently nowadays. As we’ve not been taking a lot of photos together for remembrance after elementary and middle schools, we take photos whenever we get the chance to see each other.”
She added, ”As the 3-member TaeTiSeo, we will be working really hard with much confidence but I think the energy is very different compared to when all 9 of us are on the stage together. As there are only 3 of us in TaeTiSeo, the waiting rooms assigned to us in broadcast stations are much smaller as well.”
Tiffany then said, “I’m very thankful to the other members for sincerely supporting TaeTiSeo. As I was watching our ‘Twinkle’ music video along with the other Girls’ Generation members, there was a funny moment when the members were suspecting if our agency is investing more in TaeTiSeo than in Girls’ Generation. I think we’re loving each other more with every passing day.”
The girls also mentioned about some aspects where they have improved while carrying out activities as a subunit group. Tiffany added, “There is always a limit to the styles that a member could try out when we’re doing activities as the 9-member Girls’ Generation. Therefore, we could only present the same style. However, in the case of TaeTiSeo, as we’re promoting with only 3 members, there is a much wider range of choices to select from and thus, it’s possible to present various styles more frequently than when we’re promoting as 9 members.”
Taeyeon continued, “While doing promotional activities as Girls’ Generation, choreography is the major aspect in our performances but for TaeTiSeo, it’s more vocal-oriented rather than the choreography. I think that is the biggest change we’ve experienced so far.”
TaeTiSeo kicked off their promotional activities with their first performance on Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown’ and has been receiving a lot of good comments for their excellent live performances.
Girls' Generation - TTS Interviewed by OSEN!
Through a recent meeting with OSEN, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun agreed in saying, “Because all of the Girls’ Generation members are doing individual activities, it’s difficult to see one another. We always keep in touch through smartphone chatrooms, and it really gives us strength.”
Taeyeon stated, “It’s a bit embarrassing, but we have been saying that we miss each other a lot lately. We never took many commemorative photos after middle school and high school, but now we take photos together whenever we meet. We try our best as the three members of ‘Girls’ Generation – TTS’, but the energy is noticeably different from when we stand on stage as nine members.” She laughed as she added, “Because there are only three of us now, the waiting rooms that are assigned to us are smaller.”
Tiffany said, “I’m really thankful because the other members sincerely support ‘Girls’ Generation – TTS’. I watched the music video with our other members, and we laughed for a long time because they were jealous, and they joked that it seems like the company invests more in us than they do in Girls’ Generation. I think we’ve grown fonder of one another.”
There have also been things that have improved after beginning unit activities. Tiffany stated, “When we promoted as nine members, the styles a member could attempt were limited, so we would have to show the same style during a promotion cycle. But as three, there are more choices. I think we’ll be able to show various styles a lot more often than we would as Girls’ Generation.”
Taeyeon noted, “Choreography was an important element for Girls’ Generation, but as three, the performances have been more focused on vocals than choreography. That is the biggest change.”

Proof of 'SM Maknaes On Top', "SeoHyun And Choikang Changmin Are Extreme Naggers"
U-Know Yunho lives at the mercy of the maknae (youngest member) Choikang Changmin?”
A ‘SM Town MT’ was held during the episode of MBC’s ‘Joo Byun Jin’s Talk Concert’ that aired on the 3rd which featured Super Junior’s Eun Hyuk and Lee Tuek, TVXQ’s Choikang Changmin and U-Know Yunho, and Girls’ Generation-Taetiseo’s Tiffany and Seo Hyun.
On this day, Eun Hyuk said, “There’s a rumor that though Changmin is the youngest member of the group, Yunho lives at the mercy of him. Yunho acts as though he’s treading on glass and Changmin nags Yunho a lot.” At that, Choikang Changmin revealed the life of the duo as he said, “Nagging has become a part of our everyday lives. Like when he enters the dorm with his shoes still on.”
To this, U-Know Yunho added, “It’s true. I once walked into the house with my shoes on and he sent me a text message that said, ‘Hyung, this is unacceptable.’ When I saw that text, thousands of thoughts started running through my head,” and “I fixed my bad habit because he asked me to.”
During the self-bragging corner, Girls’ Generation’s Seo Hyun admitted to being a nagger when she said, “I’m quite the nagger too.” When asked what she nags about, Seo Hyun said, “I nag at the others when their chatting makes our rehearsals finish later than scheduled.” Tiffany explained this further as she added, “She sighs and raises her voice as she says, ‘Unnie!’ or ‘Unnies!’”
U-Know Yunho and Tiffany then shook hands out of sympathy for each other as people at the mercy of their youngest members.

Netizens update the ranking of girl groups; see who rose and fell this month
Back in February, a netizen created a ranking of girl groups and posted it on a community board, attracting much hot attention from fans. With many girl groups making comebacks recently in the past three months, netizens were at it again by creating an updated ranking of girl groups. With some girl groups achieving a hit with their recent comeback, they were able to move up in ranking, while others fell back due to unsuccessful comebacks. Girls’ Generation and 2NE1 still retained their positions as the queens of K-Pop by remaining at the ”insurmountable 4D wall (on another level)”. T-ara, KARA, andWonder Girls remained at the level for popularity in ‘Japan and Korea’. However, f(x) dropped to the lower level of only being popular domestically, joining Brown Eyed Girls and miss A. The netizen had noted that the members’ individual activities accomplished little for f(x), most likely affecting teamwork and possibly decreasing their ranking. SISTAR rose to join the domestically popular groups with their successful comeback of “Alone” as they had dominated the music charts and placed first place on music shows in only two weeks. 4minute, who made a comeback at the same time as SISTAR dropped from its ranking in the “High Class” level. Due to their untimely comeback, 4minute was hurt in popularity, leaving only Secret and After School at the “High Class” level. While A Pink, Girls’ Day, and Dal Shabet retained its rising popularity rank, Rainbow dropped to the lowest ranking as their domestic activities did not achieve much success, leaving their domestic popularity worrisome. However, Nine Muses was able to join the rising popularity level with their success from “News” and “Ticket“. Do you agree with the updates on the ranking?
TaeTiSeo reveals advantages and disadvantages of promoting as a unit
Girls‘ Generation‘s TaeTiSeo revealed that they became fonder in their relationships with the other members.
Recently, TaeTiSeo stated through an interview, “Because we have many individual activities, it is difficult to see each others’ faces. We always communicate through smartphone chatting, which is a huge encouragement.”
Taeyeon added, “I’m embarrassed to say this, but these days, us members say that we miss each other a lot. Since middle school-high school, we haven’t taken many pictures together, but now when we meet, we always take pictures together. As TaeTiSeo, the three of us try to perform with confidence and diligence, but compared to when all 9 members are on stage, I think the energy is definitely different. Also, because we only have 3 members, the assigned waiting room during broadcast is also much smaller.”
Tiffany stated, “I’m really thankful that the members sincerely cheer on TaeTiSeo. I watched the music video with the other members, and they enviously wondered if the agency invested more (into this video) than for Girls’ Generation – causing much laughter. I think we grew fonder with one another.”
There are also advantages of promoting as a unit. Tiffany explained, “When promoting with all 9 members, each member is assigned to a certain style. Because of this, throughout the promotion, we have to display the same style. However, performing with 3 members, we are able to select from a wider variety. I think we will be able to show more variety of styles than we were able to as Girls’ Generation.”
Taeyeon also stated, “As Girls’ Generation, the group choreography was the important element, but with 3 members, the stage focuses more on vocals than choreography. I think this is the point that changed the most.”
Taeyeon has low stamina?
Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon has been flagged as the member with the lowest stamina.
To celebrate Children’s Day, the May 5th episode of KBS‘s ‘Invincible Youth 2‘ held a ‘Children’s Sports Day‘ special, playing numerous games in order to win against the opposite team.
The two special guests, Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha and Taeyeon went up against each other in an obstacle race as they bent down and covered their knees with their long-sleeved t-shirt. While circling the course in a rabbit pace, the two had to cleave their way through numerous obstacles, jumping over cushions and climbing up stairs.
Proving that age is just a number, Narsha showed off her athletic ability as she quickly made her way through obstacles, leaving Taeyeon far behind. MC Kim Shin Young hilariously remarked, “Did Narsha unnie take some pills?”
Upon seeing Taeyeon having difficulty in overcoming the barriers, Narsha was prompted to wait from time to time and even stop before the finish line. Taeyeon did her best to chase after the ‘adult-dol’ however, Narsha won the round, giving her team a taste of another round of victory.

Taetiseo’s Taeyeon makes a cute mistake during “Twinkle” performance
Taetiseo member Taeyeon has recently gained some attention for a cute mistake during a performance of “Twinkle“.
On the May 4th broadcast of KBS2‘s ‘Music Bank‘, Girls’ Generation sub-unit group Taetiseo made their debut on the show with their title track, “Twinkle”. Viewers hailed the exciting debut performance which was filled with elaborate outfits as well as explosive vocals.
However, there was one moment of hilarity as member Taeyeon danced the wrong choreography whileSeohyun and Tiffany performed the correct routine. With a short look of surprise, Taeyeon quickly recovered and continued the performance naturally as a testament to her years of experience.
Netizens who noticed this mistake commented, “She is cute even though she messed up” , “She recovered so well I didn’t even notice it during the performance” and, “The performance was awesome. Daebak for ‘Twinkle’!”
Jessica’s love for the left side of her face has a scientific basis
There may be a scientific explanation on why Girls’ Generation member Jessica is enamored with the left side of her face.
The results of an experiment on whether a person’s face looks better from the left or right side was revealed on the May 4th live broadcast of SBS‘s ‘100 Million Quiz Show‘.
For the second round, a 10 million won question (approximately $8808.00 USD) pertaining to the human face was asked. The question was, ‘Which side of a person’s face looks better?‘. According to brain research conducted by a major university in the U.S., the answer turned out to be none other than the left side.
Girls’ Generation‘s Jessica is well-known for her love of the left side of her face. She tends to take photos where her left side is more prominent and her fans are already well aware of her habit as they have even nicknamed it ‘Jessica’s love of the left side of her face’. Whether it’s on stage or a photoshoot, even cameras for KBS‘s ‘Wild Romance‘ have captured more scenes of her left side.
What are your thoughts? Do you prefer your left side or right side of your face?
