Girls' Generation to be PSY's successor?


As Psy and his smashing hit “Gangnam Style” opened the doors for other K-pop artists to venture the music industry out of Asia, everyone have their eyes on the next artists to carry on Psy’s success.

The UK’s The Guardian news portal recently posted new article titled, “After Psy’s Gangnam Style, here come Korea pop princesses Girls' Generation”. According to the report, Girls’ Generation will be releasing an English album next year, and officially start their promotion for English-speaking countries.

The report added that the album “will mark the group’s first serious effort to court English-speaking music fans” as Girls’ Generation intends to release an English album through Interscope Records, who is noted for its global artists Lady Gaga and Eminem.

Many experts also pointed out, “Girls’ Generation have charms that many foreigners can approach easier. Their charms are wickedly contagious. They will be able to maintain the K-POP influence for a long time.”

'DOMMUNE' airs track preview for 'Girls' Generation II ~Girls & peace~'


On November 19th, ‘DOMMUNE’, a music program streamed live through the internet, aired audio previews of each of the songs from Girls’ Generation’s upcoming Japanese album, “Girls’ Generation II ~Girls & Peace~”.

The program began with an unboxing of the Deluxe First Press edition of the album, and the MCs showed the various bonus items that come with the CD and DVD, which included posters of each of the members and a traveler’s notebook. The MCs also showed the First Press edition and the Regular editions of the album as well.

For the rest of the two hour show, the MCs of the show played previews from each of the songs of the album before discussing the tracks with each other.

Unedited photo of Yuri’s flawless figure catches the eyes of netizens


A recently revealed un-edited photo of Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri has been garnering much attention.
Titled ‘What it would feel like to see Yuri in real life?“, the photo revealed Yuri showing off her flawless figure in a girly pink skirt topped with a simple white top.
The photo had been taken after the Yuri had personally delivered flowers to a fan as a special fan-meeting event for the cosmetic brand Mamonde, for which she currently models.
Netizens responded to the photo saying, “Is this really unedited?“, “It not a joke.. Look at her line“, “Daebak“, and more.

Girls Generation to make Korean comeback in January



After initial reports stating the group Girls Generation would make a domestic comeback in late October of this year, the girls amended their plans, slating for a later comeback date.

SM Entertainment has confirmed that Girls’ Generation will be making a comeback in January of 2013. After 15-long months of nothing from the girls since their last song “The Boys”, fans are looking forward to what their next comeback will hold.

Girls’ Generation have been focusing on their Japanese activities, having recently released their new Japanese single “Flower Power.” The group is also set to release their second Japanese album “Girls&Peace” on November 28.
