SNSD won the 25th Golden Disk Awards 2010

That was the word that rocked all SONEs around the world and most Soshi fansites servers as well! Obviously fanwonder.com got rocked as well, as I received about 1000 pageviews in an hour! and it crashed for a while but I was in tears..not that I was crying over my server crashing but because of Soshi’s sweet victory!!!!!

I’m still lost for words right now! I think every SONE in this world would be feeling the same. Last year, SNSDbagged the Digital Daesang and they were in a different category with Super Junior. This year, the two biggest groups were in the same category, the Disk category and Soshi unveiled their Power of Nine to frab the Disk Daesang.

The girls were in tears, as usual and they dedicated the awards to SONEs and Tiffany. The girls performed ‘Oh!’and ‘Run Devil Run’ without Fany. Although the girls did awesome but it is never the same without Fany around. We miss you so much, Fany~!

As the girls gave their winning speech, you could clearly hear them cry at the back. They worked so hard for it and they deserve every single bit of it. Overall, 25th Golden Disk Awards was very successful and the results were very fair. SM Entertainment artists dominated the Disk Category as well as the Popularity Awards.

Besides winning the Bonsang and Daesang in the Disk Category, the girls also grabbed the Ceci Popularity Awards along with SHINee. Super Junior on the other hand won the MSN Asian Popularity Awards.

This is not the first time Taeyeon has had success in OSTs, as she has sung the tracks “Can You Hear Me” and “If” for the popular dramas “Beethoven Virus” and “Hong Gil Dong“, respectively.

After ‘Hoot’ promotions begun, the members were posting up their threads one after the other.

I was waiting while murmuring to myself “my turn will come up soon~”.

But I was eventually befuddled.. due to many schedules^^;

But I still appreciate the fact that I can post up a thread to all of you on this very special moment~~~~

First First of all!!! The thing that we have to congratulate!! Sones and Girls has gathered their powers and finally!

Ended up receiving such a big~ prize!!!! Jjak Jjak Jjak Jjak Jjak~~~♥

Congrats congrats!! ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

You Sones probably was also befuddled due to your own personal tasks.. and since it’s also end of the year..

Thanks to everyone for participating in your spare moments, on voting, and texting ^^

Each and every effort that had been piling and piling up.. and that had made it the happiest moment for us!

This really can’t be accomplished without enough interests and love..

SNSD endorses Domino’s Pizza

SNSD can now add yet another company to their long list of endorsements.

The girls have just inked a CF deal with Domino’s Pizza to advertise a new pizza with pork steak and veggies on it. In addition to filming, they also recorded a song for the CF.

SNSD awarded for national contributions at ‘2010 Proud Korean Awards’

Having just walked off with three awards from the ‘25th Golden Disk Awards‘ last night, the girls of SNSD girls added yet another prestigious award to their list of accomplishments.

Earlier this morning, the group was recognized by the ‘2010 Proud Korean Awards‘ for their contributions to national unity and their positive representation of South Korea to the world. They were awarded as winners of the ‘Art Category’ by the Journalists’ Association of Korea.

Members Hyoyeon, Seohyun and Sunny were present to receive the honor.

SNSD shot real arrows at ‘Enjoy Today’

SNSD had a sport outing at set of MBC ‘Sunday Night Part 1 – Enjoy Today’.

On ‘Enjoy Today’ to be aired on December 12th, SNSD appear will be going up against athletic stars Lee Bongjoo, Jang Jaegeun and Im Choonae and it will be the race of the century.

During the shooting of the program at Jamsil Sports Complex, Shin Hyunjoon, Jung Joonho, Kim Hyunchul, Jung Hyungdon, Seo Jisuk and Lee Teuk could not conceal their nervousness due to the girls’ presence. However, it was just temporary. As soon as SNSD called out ‘Oppa’, smiles started to appear on their respective faces.

There was also a mysterious incident involving Seo Jisuk and Jessica. During the tape-changing interval, Seo Jisuk and Jessica mysteriously disappeared from the set. After a while, both of them appeared from the same direction. The crew and the members of the show were curious of what they did during their disappearance. During the recording, Seo Jisuk also showed Jessica the running and breathing techniques.

Prior to the big race, an archery competition took place. The ‘Enjoy Today’ team was divided into OB Team and YB Team. The members were enjoying themselves while teaching SNSD members some of the techniques and skills in archery, prior to the competition. SNSD finally had the experience of handling the actual arrows and Seo Jisuk once again, gave a special lesson to Jessica.

Meanwhile, the 200-meter race involving SeoJisuk, who was a former athlete and Jang Jaegeun was one of the highlight of the show. Also, be sure to catch the girls as they challenge Korea’s former national athlete who won 3 medals at 1986 Asian Games, Im Choonae in the 800-meter race. The girls also teamed up with the ‘Enjoy Today’ members to challenge Lee Bongjoo in the 4000-meter race.

SNSD hits 500k sales in Japan before year ends

SNSD who had just debuted in Japan in September 2010, will be hitting the 500,000 copies mark in terms of albums and DVD sales in Japan.

According to Oricon, SNSD who released 2 singles and a DVD, recorded a total sales of 318,736 as of December 9th. The DVD entitled ‘Girls’ Generation Torai – Commemorative Edition – New Beginning of Girls’ Generation‘ sold 81,034 copies as of the date mentioned, while First Japanese Debut Single ‘Genie’ which was released on September 8th, recorded sales of 112,724 copies. 2nd Debut Single ‘Gee‘ which was unveiled on October 20th added 124,978 copies to the tally.

The DVD still manages to fetch sales of about 2,142 copies in the 17th week of it’s release and it was ranked 6thbased on Oricon Weekly Chart released on December 6th. Based on the Singles Weekly Chart (December 6th),‘Genie’ and ‘Gee’ sold 2201 copies (13th week) and 4155 copies (7th week) respectively.

In addition to these, the Japanese edition of ‘Hoot’ which will be released on December 22nd is expected to boost SNSD’s annual sales in Japan and thus, surpassing the 500,000 copies mark. Japanese edition of ‘Hoot’ which comes in Regular Edition, Limited Pressing Edition and First Press Limited Edition is expected to fetch better sales than singles. With that, the goal of exceeding 100,000 copies for every music release will soon be realized.
