Girls’ Generation and 2NE1 to headline ‘Asia Style Collection’ in Singapore

The two top K-Pop girl groups, Girls’ Generation and 2NE1, will be participating in Singapore’s first fashion and music extravaganza, ‘Asia Style Collection’.

‘Asia Style Collection’ is the production of styleXstyle.com, MediaCorp’s first online fashion portal and Alpha Edge Co Ltd Japan. It is a fashion event where the leading edge of Asian trends in Japan, China, Korea, and Singapore are all put on display.

To commemorate the inaugural of ‘Asia Style Collection’, each contributing country’s popular fashion brands, top models, and artists will gather at Singapore EXPO on June 22nd and participate in various combined fashion and music stages.

Artists scheduled to light up the Korean stage called ‘K-POP COLLECTION’ include the two most popular K-Pop girl groups, Girls’ Generation and 2NE1. The stage will be handled by Korean broadcasting station SBS.

Who are YoonA and Sulli’s current ideal types?

Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA and f(x)‘s Sulli revealed their current ideal types on KBS 2TV‘s ‘Saeng Saeng Information‘.

The pair had an interview with the show on the set of a CF shoot, and the staff asked the girls about their ideal types. YoonA answered, “Since the weather is so good and there are pretty flowers, I want to be in a relationship. It must be everyone’s ideal type, but I like someone who can communicate well with me and understand.”

Sulli said, “I like someone who’s reliable and like a dad. I wish it was someone who could listen to everything I say.”

Taeyeon gives a sneak peek at Girls’ Generation’s concert venue in Nagoya

Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon gave a sneak peek at the concert venue in Nagoya, Japan.

The girls performed at the Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya on April 9th & 10th for their Japanese arena tour, and Taeyeon gave a rare treat for fans. The photo shows the members in an empty arena from a far angle, usually fans only get to view the girls on the stage. It looks like the girls came out just to get a feel for the various viewing angles for the concert venue.

Included in the photograph posted on Taeyeon’s Instagram were members Sooyoung, Hyoyeon,Tiffany, Jessica, and YoonA. Taeyeon also wrote, “Soo. Hyo. Tiff. Jess. Yoon♥ It’s cool seeing it from up here!! See you soon! See you later^^“.

Even though the photo is blurry, the girls’ smiles are still sharp enough for plain view in the photo.

Perhaps Jessica and Taeyeon wanted a vantage point of where they’ll throw their next set of rubber balls?

Seohyun and Yonghwa live in the same apartment complex?

It’s been revealed that CNBLUE‘s Yonghwa and Girls’ Generation‘s Seohyun live in the same apartment complex!

tvN‘s news program had a corner called ‘Decisive Punch‘. The program reported on idols that were rumored to be dating. One of the couples they covered was Yonghwa and Seohyun, who’d become a hot issue and a fan favorite after their gig together on ‘We Got Married‘. There were rumors that the pair lived in the same apartment complex, and the news corner found out that the rumor was indeed true.

CNBLUE’s dorms were located on the 1st floor of the complex, and Seohyun had moved in with her parents last year into an apartment on the 4th floor. Their neighbors revealed, “Seohyun lived here first, and CNBLUE moved here soon after that. When their label FNC Entertainment moved their headquarters near here, the members probably moved here to be closer to their label.”

Jessica makes yet another ‘legendary’ throw

Jessica made another legendary throw.

Most fans of Jessica and Girls’ Generation remember the adorably awkward pitch that she threw straight to the ground last May. The throw went viral and even appeared on ESPN’s Sportscenter.

The newest throw was recently featured on an online community board under the title, “Sica’s new Pitch“. The throw occurred at a recent stop for their Japanese arena tour. It appears she wanted to compensate for the throw that went straight to the ground last time as she managed to do the complete opposite this time around. Determined to throw it correctly this time, Jessica tried an underhand throw instead of an overhead throw.

Sadly, just like Taeyeon with her accidental throw at a previous concert, Jessica misjudged her power and angle and sent the ball incredibly high up in a vertical line and had it drop straight back down nearby. Cutely mortified, she sank down to the ground and ran quickly away to recover.

Taeyeon and Seohyun to reprise roles for ‘Despicable Me 2’

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Seohyun, who were praised for their voice dubbing in the 2010’s high grossing 3D animated film, ‘Despicable Me’, will reprise their roles for the upcoming sequel.

The two girls will once again take the roles of two of three smart and ambitious sisters Margo and Edith. Taeyeon provides the voice for Gru’s eldest daughter, Margo, a ten year old girl who is very skillful and intelligent. Meanwhile, Seohyun voices the mischievous and cynical Edith.

In ‘Despicable Me 2’, the main character Gru, who dreams of becoming the world’s greatest villain, is ironically recruited by the Anti-Villain League to help them fight a villain named Eduardo.

SM's Yoona, Kyuhyun, Sulli and Minho become new LTE family models

SM Entertainment’s idols, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Girls’ Generation’s Yoona, f(x)’sSulli and SHINee’s Minho gathered together for SK Telecom and became the new LTE family model.

On April 11, SK Telecom announced that the company has selected the 4 SM idols Kyuhyun, Yoona, Sulli and Minho as the models for its new LTE family campaign, ‘LTE Infinite Ability Noot.’ 

As the target age groups are 10~20s they chose these four singers as representative of the target age and the advertising shows how they all use LTE data in ordinary life. With different scenarios, the new campaign will showcase these four idols’ unique charms.

SK Telecom also revealed that the LTE family campaign will add two more top stars along with these four idol members.
