'Fashion King' OST Part 5 "You're a Wall" released


The 5th original sound track (OST) for SBS Korean drama series “Fashion King” is released on April 30th, 2012.

The “Fashion King” OST part 5 contains 4 tracks with 2 songs and 2 instrumental versions of the songs.

The 1st song in “Fashion King” OST part 5 has the title of “You’re a Wall” (너는 벽이다). “You’re a Wall” is also been translated as “You’re Everything”.

“You’re a Wall” is sang by M to M (엠 투 엠).

YoonA & Jang Geuk sweet hand in hand dating at hongdae


The KBS’s “Love Rain” released the photos of Jang Geun Suk and Girls’ Generation member Im YoonA enjoying their dating at the busy street of Hongdae area.

The couple is staging the romantic ‘Hongdae date’. During the filming, they had been surrounded by onlookers who would like to see the progress of this romantic date.

In the episode 11 of “Love Rain” aired on April 30th, 2012, this couple who is like a feast on the eyes is just like any other couple, strolling and shopping on the street around Hongik University hand in hand. They stage ‘sweet couple’ which is enviable, conveying the warm atmosphere.

Because of the sudden appearance of Jang Geun Suk and YoonA, the street of Hongdae suddenly saw the influx of the crowd of came to look at the idol stars, forcing the production team to temporarily suspend the filming.

Netizens commented, “I also want to be in love like them,” “Ordinary dating, extraordinary twos, like an innocent comic,” “I saw the scene on the day, they’re so natural till attracting envy,” and so on.

TaeTiSeo's "Twinkle" MV gets 1.7 million views in less than 24 hours


After releasing their debut mini album “Twinkle”, Girls’ Generation’s first sub-unit TaeTiSeo unleashed the full music video for title track in the afternoon of April 30th. In less than 24 hours, the music video hits over 1.7 million views.

The “Twinkle” music video has been attracting so many viewers with TaeTiSeo’s impressive vocals and charismatic looks. Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun show off much eye-candy with gorgeous make-up, twinkling outfits and colorful stage.

Prior to the release of the official music video for title track “Twinkle“, TaeTiSeo launched three teasers on Youtube, to promote the track’s release. The teasers have recorded more than 10 million views in total within just 4 days.

In addition, “Twinkle” gained an all-kill on Korean music charts, while the mini-album ranked in various positions on iTunes charts across the globe mere hours after the release.

Girls' Generation Attends 'I AM' Event Showcase


On April 30th, Girls’ Generation and their fellow SM Entertainment artists attended an event showcase for SM Town’s upcoming film, “I AM”, a documentary about SM Entertainment’s artists from their pre-debut days until today. The showcase included a question-and-answer session, revealing the idols’ thoughts and various experiences as part of the company.

In the question-and-answer session, MC Byun Kisoo asked the Girls’ Generation members various questions, ranging from thoughts about their trainee days to friendships and regrets – showcasing the girls’ strong bonds and how far they’ve matured since their pre-debut days.

Jessica was asked if she had any special friends, and she revealed them to be Hyoyeon and Sooyoung, stating that they became trainees at the same time. When asked what the movie meant to her, Sooyoung showed a positive reaction to the movie, saying that “I AM” took her back to her rookie days. She said that she saw clips of herself that she didn’t remember, and that it reminded her of all the hard work she had done to get to where she’s at today. She also added that the movie is not only a gift to the fans, but a gift to the artists themselves, thanking the director of the documentary, Choi Jinsung. Hyoyeon mentioned that she regretted not being able to see her parents much during her trainee days, a situation that she shares with fellow artist Sulli.

Towards the end of the showcase, MC Byun Kisoo, a popular comedian in South Korea, jokingly told Sooyoung to move to the back during the photo-op as she was too tall. After the interview segment, autographed items were handed out to five raffle winners, and the entire event wrapped up with ‘The Boys” playing in the background.

Girls' Generation to Make Cameo Appearance on Webtoon 'ENT'



Girls’ Generation will make cameo appearances as cartoon characters for the webtoon “ENT”. “ENT” is a new upcoming webtoon production by Yoon Inhwan, author of “The New Undercover Royal Inspector”, and is also co-produced by SM Entertainment. The second illustration of the webtoon was released on April 30th, showcasing the nine girls in their “The Boys” promotional outfits. The girls are to have cameos in order to add a sense of realism to the series.

“ENT” is a fictional story about two people. The first person is A (fake name), a normal high school student who is the vocal singer of an SM rookie group called “Born on 4th of July”. The second person is Foxstar, a famous fanfiction writer. This webtoon will be about the fanfiction that Foxstar writes based on insider information that she obtains from A about SM, and the incidents that follow after its publication.

The CEO of “Ylab”, the production company of “ENT”, approached SM Entertainment about this webtoon when production first started. SM Entertainment has since fully cooperated in the production of this webtoon, viewing its purpose in a positive light.

SM Entertainment’s artists will appear with their real names in the webtoon, and it is predicted that the series will garner the attention of both manhwa and K-Pop fans alike.

The webtoon “ENT” will be publicly released in black and white through a website belonging to Club Sunday, one of Japan’s biggest manhwa publishing companies. It will then be opened to the Korean public on July 4th through Naver’s webtoon services.

TaeTiSeo promotes "Twinkle" via Star Call


Girls’ Generation‘s first-ever sub-unit TaeTiSeo has been explosive response after releasing its much-anticipated debut mini-album “Twinkle”. With no surprise, their title track has dominated local music charts as well as iTunes chart, proving their global popularity.

On March 1, TaeTiSeo, which comprised of members Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun released Star Call videos via Girls’ Generation’s smartphone application ‘Genie’. The girls promote their debut mini album “Twinkle”.

Hyoyeon, Sulli and Krystal open up about the times when they regretted joining SM Entertainment


The SM Entertainment artists opened up about the times they regretted joining the company.
The showcase for SM Entertainment’s new film ‘I AM‘ was held on April 30th, and f(x) members Sulliand KrystalGirls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon, as well as Kang Ta drew interest for admitting that at certain times they regretted joining SM.
I lived in a dorm since I was in the fifth grade,” Sulli began. “I wanted to go home and I wanted to see my mom. My house was in Busan, and I was so upset that I could not go visit often.”
Sulli’s fellow f(x) member Krystal also added, “I was so frustrated that we had to live and stay at the company every day.
Hyoyeon revealed that her reasons were similar to theirs. “I had to commute 3~4 hours, and it was hard on me at such a young age.”
Former H.O.T member Kang Ta who is now a director at SM Entertainment shared that he regretted joining the company because his trainee days were extremely difficult. “We ordered Chinese noodles every other day, and we ate sausages as meals.” He revealed that fellow H.O.T member Tony was once reprimanded for two whole days after ordering japchae, a popular Korean dish of sweet potato noodles. Kang Ta further revealed that he wore leggings during his trainee days, and that he used his reflection in the window when practicing, in place of a real mirror.
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment’s new film ‘I AM’ scheduled to hit the big screens on May 10th is a documentary-style movie that will reveal the journey of the SM artists from their days as a trainee until now.

Why was the 'I AM' pre-screening suddenly cancelled?

SM Entertainment‘s upcoming documentary movie, ‘I AM‘ suddenly cancelled its pre-screening on the day it was supposed to be held.
Originally, ‘I AM‘ was scheduled to hold a pre-screening of the movie at CGV in Yeongdeungpo on April 30th at 4pm. A showcase was scheduled to follow the press conference at 7pm. However, hours before the pre-screening was supposed to be held, a release was sent out revealing the cancellation of the event.
According to a production representative, “It was determined in the morning that the pre-screening for ‘I AM’ would be cancelled in order to create a higher-quality product. We want to give an optimal experience in overall sound quality of the NYC performance footage as well as the interview clips.
Meanwhile, the showcase which was scheduled to follow the press conference was held as planned.

SM Entertainment holds showcases for "I AM"



Although the press premiere of the movie “I AM” has been cancelled, the showcase featuring SM Entertainment’s artists was still held on April 30 at 7PM KST.

SM Entertainment’s artists including Kangta, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee and f(x), along with movie director Choi Jin Sung attended the event. Aside from interviews, each artist also shared some behind-the-scenes stories they hadn’t revealed in the past during the showcase.

“I AM” movie documents the performances and daily lives of SM artist at the previous “SMTOWN Live in New York” held at Madison Square Garden. The film will be in theaters on May 10.
