Hyoyeon & Seohyun strike a hilarious pose wearing heart-shaped shades

A photo of Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon and Seohyun goofing around has surfaced on the internet.
The above photo of the girls striking hilarious poses in fashionable heart-shaped sunglasses was recently shared on an online community site.
Netizens got a good laugh after seeing the photo, and were glad to see a silly side to Seohyun who is known for being proper and ladylike.
They’re too cute,” fans wrote in response, along with “I love Hyoyeon on Dancing With The Stars’“, “Look at Seohyun!”, and more.

SNSD sub group TaeTiSeo dominates the May Album sales chart


SNSD's first revealed sub group TaeTiSeo has been dominating the online and offline charts which is already a remarkable accomplishment for a sub-unit group. It has been revealed that the sub group's first mini album "Twinkle" has topped the monthly album sales chart for the month of May.

TaeTiSeo ranked first in the chart selling over 139,388 units of their mini album at the same time their single "Twinkle" has also done well on singles charts all throughout the group's promotions. Second place came to JYJ member Xiah Junsu's first solo album "Tarantallegra" which sold over 122,000 units. Junsu also did very well on his first solo album despite not promoting it on music shows. Coming in third is Infinite with their mini album "Infinitize" which sold over 88,284 units.

1st Japanese album 'Girls' Generation' certified 'Million' by RIAJ!


Girls’ Generation’s 1st Japanese album ‘Girls’ Generation’ which was released in June last year has been ‘Million’-certified by Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).

RIAJ categorizes singles and albums into different levels of certification – ‘Gold (100,000 copies)’, ‘Platinum (250,000 copies)’, ‘Double Platinum (500,000 copies)’ and ‘Million (1,000,000 copies)’ based on the number of copies shipped.

Girls’ Generation is the second Korean artist to have achieved the ‘Million’ certification by RIAJ after BoA. It has been 7 years and 3 months since BoA’s first compilation album ‘Best of Soul’ in 2005 was awarded with the ‘Million’ certification.

With the release of their 4th Japanese Single ‘Paparazzi’ on June 27th, the girls are expected to kick off their promotional activities in Japan again soon.

Girls’ Generation’s debut Japanese album certified “Million” by RIAJ

Girls’ Generation has broken through the “Million” plateau in Japan.
Their self-titled debut Japanese album ‘Girls’ Generation‘ which was released back on December 28, 2011 has been certified “Million” by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (or ‘RIAJ’). The certification is based off the total numbers of CDs and DVDs sold to retailers and the RIAJ has certifications of: Gold (100,000 units), Platinum (250,000 units), Double Platinum (500,000 units), Triple Platinum (750,000 units), and Million (1,000,000 units).
This is quite an accomplishment as the only other Korean artist to be certified Million for an album wasBoA who last achieved this back in 2005 with her compilation album ‘Best of Soul‘. KARA‘s second Japanese album ‘Super Girl‘ could be the next to be certified Million as they achieved the Triple Platinum certification.
In related news, Girls’ Generation is set to release their upcoming Japanese single “PAPARAZZI” on June 27th.

Hyoyeon earns praise for her ‘cha-cha’ dance on ‘Dancing With The Stars 2′

Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon put on what was another spectacular performance.
For the June 8th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Dancing With The Stars 2 (DWTS 2)’, Hyoyeon and her partnerKim Hyung Suk danced to “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” from the movie, ‘Coyote Ugly‘.
The two who seem to have more chemistry with each passing week dominated the stage with their ‘cha-cha’ dance, and Hyoyeon in her cocktail dress effortlessly pulled off each step of the dance.
After earning a round of explosive applause, judge Song Seung Hwan praised Hyoyeon saying, “It’s a relief that I’m a man in my fifties. If I were still a teenager, I would have lost some sleep tonight. That’s Girls’ Generation for you.
Meanwhile, fellow group members Sunny and YoonA who came to the show in support of Hyoyeon were also spotted in the audience.
