Hyoyeon successfully asked someone out after her debut?

On the KBS 2TV ‘Invincible Youth‘ episode aired on the 22nd, Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon talked about her experience in asking someone out.

In the episode, Hyoyeon had been preparing food together with comedian Kim Shin Young andKARA‘s Jiyoung. When Kim Shin Young said, “After I got rejected, I stopped asking people out“, Hyoyeon revealed her own experience in asking men out.

She confessed, “Once, I sent a message because I wanted to watch a movie. We met at 2 in the morning. It was a little awkward, but I guess I was prettier to him than I thought. ”

Kim Shin Young tried to get more information from her by saying, “It must have been after you debuted“, but Hyoyeon only laughed and said, “I’ll talk about what happened afterwards next week.”

Fans celebrate Hyoyeon’s birthday with a newspaper ad & charity work

In celebration of Hyoyeon’s birthday on September 22nd, Girls’ Generation’s fan cafe CISTUS placed an advertisement in a newspaper. The advertisement contained a poem, which read:

“Our hearts beat to
Every one of your delicate, slender body’s
Little movements
The stars in the sky dance
To your wonderful, beautiful,
Blinding dance
We congratulate
Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon’s
24th birthday ^0^
Your bright smile
Makes us all shine”

In addition to the newspaper advertisement, CISTUS fan cafe visited the Taehwa Welfare Center for senior citizens for volunteer work and donated Happy Beans to a children’s foundation under Hyoyeon’s name. (Editor’s note: Happy Beans are a charity item within Naver. People who make lots of blog/cafe posts, comments, and email replies are given Happy Beans. They are worth a few hundred won, and can be donated to various charities and foundations.)

They also held a heartwarming event delivering daily necessities and money donated by Girls’ Generation fans to people in need.

Fans on Twitter also celebrated Hyoyeon’s birthday as “#24thHyoppyBirthday” and “Kim Hyoyeon” trended in first and seventh place worldwide.

‘Invincible Youth 2′ cast celebrate Hyoyeon’s birthday

The ‘Invincible Youth 2‘ cast members each prepared special birthday gifts for Girls’ Generation‘sHyoyeon.

On the September 22nd broadcast, the cast celebrated Hyoyeon's 24th birthday with presents and handwritten letters, creating a 밝고 warm atmosphere.  

KARA‘s Jiyoung remarked, “Don’t forget to wear these when you dance,” and presented Hyoyeon with a pair of pink sneakers. miss A‘s Suzy prepared scented candles, Jewelry‘s Yewon gifted her with pain relief patches, and SISTAR‘s Bora gave her a pair of rubber shoes as well as a handwritten letter.

MC Kim Shin Young gifted Hyoyeon with a pair of fur gloves, Lee Young Ja with a pair of rubber gloves, and Boom with a money envelope which only contained 5000 won (~$4.45 USD), bringing much laughter.

The cast also made sure to make Hyoyeon feel extra special by laughing at all of her jokes.
