Girls’ Generation has been honored at the 28th Japan Gold Disc Awards with the “Best 3 Albums of Asia” award. The nine ladies actually placed two albums in the top three with their second and third Japanese albums, “Girls’ Generation II ~Girls & Peace~” and “LOVE&PEACE”, respectively. Girls’ Generation was joined in the top three by fellow S.M. Entertainment labelmate TVXQ! and their album, “TIME”.
In 2013, Girls’ Generation received the “Best Music Video Award of Asia” for the First Japan Tour DVD and “Song of the Year by Download of Asia” for “PAPARAZZI”. Back in 2012, the 26th Japan Gold Disc Awards also honored Girls’ Generation with the “Best Album of Asia” award for their first full Japanese album, “Girls’ Generation”. Currently, the nine ladies are preparing to make their long-awaited “Mr.Mr.” comeback before beginning their third Japan tour in April.
