Girls’ Generation Celebrates Chuseok with Fans

Over the past few days, the members of Girls’ Generation posted on various social media sites in celebration of Chuseok, Korea’s Thanksgiving Day, which fell on September 19th this year. Each of the girls had their own personalized way to celebrate this holiday and to send warm wishes to fans.

Sunny posted on both of her SNS accounts. She first tweeted, “Have an abundant Hangawi(Translator’s note: Korean Thanksgiving day)… uheuk. I want a long Chuseok weekend, tooㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ”. Her image caption translates to “I hope that people who go to their hometown… and those who can’t go to their hometown, all have a bountiful Chuseok…” Later on Instagram, she revealed a cute photo of herself in a hanbok along with a caption reading, “Foreign daughter-in-law has come to give you Chuseok greetings~ Mother-in-law, Father-in-law! Have an abundant Hangawi♥ #chuseok #hanbok I will hope that you have a relaxing Hangawi, where you can talk with family or someone you love under the full moon^^*”.

Continuing her recent trend of updating her UFOtown profile picture, Tiffany chose to do the same in celebration of Chuseok. She uploaded an adorable four-shot selca of herself wearing a hanbok.

Hyoyeon also chose to celebrate Chuseok through her Instagram account. She uploaded two photos, both with Seohyun and herself together in each picture. The first photo she posted on Instagram translates to “Everyone have a happy Chuseok~~~ :)”. SONEs have come to expect and enjoy the silly pictures the girls often post, and Hyoyeon answered the call with her second picture, captioned in English, “Bonus! Lol >,<”.
Yuri greeted fans with two photo updates on her Instagram account as well. Her first picture included a caption reading, “Presenting a Chuseok gift #Elders especially like it”. Her second photo and caption translates to “Hangawi full moon set #best #Jeulchu (Translator’s note: ‘Happy Chuseok’ shortened)“.

Sooyoung and Seohyun both posted on Girls’ Generation’s official website. They each posted cute photos of themselves dressed in hanboks, all while wishing fans to have a happy Chuseok. Their translated messages can be found here and here, respectively.
