The new SBS drama "Fashion King" has a lot of hype even before it's debut in the small screen. With popular actresses Shin Se kyung and Yuri from SNSD a lot of anticipation and expectations were set on the drama. The new drama aired it's first episode on the 19th of March getting 10.0% viewer rating which is good enough for a first episode.
However, it seems the show experienced early decline in ratings and their good start was followed by a small bump in the road. The follow up episode which airead on the 20th of March received 8.9% viewer rating. Viewers said that the fashion in the show was impressive and it was nice to see but they pointed out that the story was too plain and didn't spark their interest that much. Meanwhile, MBC "Light and shadow" received 22.2% and Dream High 2 received 6.6%.
