Recently, allkpop reported that SNSD‘s Seohyun finally got to meet her idol, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon of South Korea. On the September 13th broadcast of SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘, Seohyun confessed, “My heart was pounding” when asked about the experience of meeting her role model.
She started the story, “August 12th was an honorable and joyous moment. This was the day I met Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.” She continued, “It was difficult debuting into the entertainment world through SNSD at the age of 17. During that time, I came across a book that about Secretary General Ban Ki Moon’s life. After that book, he became my role model.”
Seohyun added, “Through his biography, I found out that Secretary General Ban Ki Moon was a great man. I never imagined that I would get to meet him in person. However, SNSD ended up participating in the inaugural ceremony for the ‘Help African Children’ project, and I learned that the Secretary General would be attending as well.”
Seohyun revealed that she was so happy at the thought of meeting Secretary General Ban Ki Moon that she spent several days writing him a letter. She also prepared a SNSD album and vitamin supplements as gifts.
Although there were some complications, at the end, Seohyun was able to present him with the gifts she prepared. Remembering the moment, she stated, “I felt like time stopped at that moment” – drawing the attention of guests and viewers.
Meanwhile, fellow member Sunny and Hyoyeon also guested on ‘Strong Heart’ as well as Boom, Jun Hye Bin, Noh Joo Hyun, BMK, Yang Se Hyung, Yoo Hyun Sang, Kim Do Kyun, and Yoon Hee Suk.
