Girls' Generation Reach #1 Spot on Oricon Charts!

Girls' Generation's third Japan single, 'MR.TAXI/Run Devil Run', has reached the number one spot on the Oricon Charts.

The single 'MR.TAXI/Run Devil Run' was released on the 27th of April, and has topped the Oricon Daily Single chart since the 29th. The single has also reached the #1 spot on mobile site 'Rekochoku' and Japan's iTunes single charts, symbolizing how popular Girls' Generation is in Japan.

Unlike their previous singles which were remakes of their Korean ones, 'MR.TAXI' is a newly produced song. Their PV was revealed before the single, making fans from both Korea and Japan praise the group for pulling off such a concept.

Girls' Generation's first arena tour concert has gained a lot of attention, in which nearly 300,000 people applied for the tickets. Due to the high anticipation, 3 more performances were added, totaling to 10 performances across 10 cities in Japan.

The tour will start on the 31st of May in Osaka and will end on the 17th of July, passing through Tokyo, Saitama, Hiroshima, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. Altogether, there will be 100,000 people attending the arena tour.
