[News] SNSD the record breaking angels

SNSD are not new in breaking records and they will keep breaking records with every album release. Such is the popularity of Korea’s top girl group. These record breaking feats would definitely place SNSD highly in music history as well as in the minds of many music lovers.

SNSD have enjoyed great success with “Gee” in Korea and since the release of the Japanese version, the addictive song is beginning to shake the Japanese archipelago. Not an easy task to emulate the feat achieved in Korea but Soshi are heading that direction nonetheless. That is why they are the best in Korea, if not in Asia.

Since its release on October 20th, 2nd Japanese Single “Gee” has recorded sales of 66,000 copies and they have entered the 11/1 Oricon Weekly Singles Chart at no.2, making them the first ever Asian girl group to be placed in the TOP3. They are also the second girl group to have made it to the TOP3 as a British girl group “Nolans” were the first to achieve such feat with the release of “Dancing Sisters” which debuted at no.2 on 12/1 weekly chart back in 1980. The fact that it took 30 years for another girl group to be placed within the TOP3, is a very strong testimony in itself that SNSD are the legends of the era.

SNSD have recently released the title trackof their 3rd mini album “Hoot” and within hours of release, they took major real-time charts in Korea by storm by securing the no.1 spot. SNSD will definitely enjoy more success when the mini album is officially unveiled on October 27th and their promotional activities following the release.

The simultaneous promotions of “Hoot” in Korea and “Gee” in Japan are expected to propel SNSD’s popularity even more, not only in the two countries but also the Asian region and the rest of the countries in the world.
