Two weeks have passed since the release of SNSD’s Japan Debut Single “Genie” but the girls are still doing remarkably well as they are still within the Top 5 of the Oricon Daily Singles Chart.
On September 14th, “Genie” dropped to 11th spot on the Daily Singles Chart due to new releases in Japan but the effect was temporary. The girls were ranked 4th on September 18th on the chart.
The girls’ re-entry into the chart at Top 5 after two weeks of release is a rather unusual phenomenon in Japanese music industry. Usually after the first week of sales, there will be drop in ranking on the Oricon chart. However, this was not the case with SNSD where even after the second week, they are still showing improvement in terms of their ranking on the chart.
The girls’ successful debut showcase which attracted about 22,000 fans and their consistent achievement on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart are indeed an indication that the girls have a very bright future ahead in Japan.
We know that breaking records are nothing new to our girls. fanwonder.com hopes that the girls will keep on breaking as many records as possible in Japan. The girls are the best and wherever they go, they will shine.
