Sunny says 2014 was a bad year, looks forward to 2015

During the December 31 broadcast of '2014 MBC Gayo Daejaejun', Girls' Generation member Sunny reflected on 2014 as a bad year and expressed her wishes for 2015.

When asked to make a New Year's wish, Sunny stated, "There were a lot more painful events than I thought there would be during the year of 2014. I would like it if the upcoming new year would be jam-packed with only good events."

She continued, "I would also like it if Girls' Generation's [new year] was full of good things too." 

When asked how she felt about the new year so far, she said, "It feels refreshing! I already like it." Fellow member Tiffany agreed, saying, "I already like it!"

Sunny comments on being recognized at '2014 MBC Entertainment Awards'

Girls' Generation's Sunny commented on being recognized for her radio show at the '2014 MBC Entertainment Awards'.

The idol star picked up a newcomer award for her radio show 'Sunny's FM Date' at the awards ceremony. Sunny posted the above photo to Instagram on December 30 as well as the message, "I cannot express how thankful I am. To the FM Date listener family who suffered trying to fill in the gaps for a lacking DJ, the staff who make me nervous every live show, my family who cheered me on and monitored me the most, my beloved Girls' Generation members, and my dependable SONE. Because of you, I was acknowledged as a DJ after 230 days. I'll receive the award as a message to work harder."

Sooyoung Hosts and Wins Female Excellence Award – Mini Series at ‘2014 MBC Drama Awards’

On December 30th, Sooyoung attended the “2014 MBC Drama Awards”, serving as both an MC alongside comedian, Shin Dongyup, and as a nominee in several categories for her portrayal of Lee Bomi in “Springtime of My Life”.

Before the awards ceremony, Sooyoung took part in the red carpet event. Dressed in a long, gold evening gown, Sooyoung smiled and posed for pictures for press media and fans in attendance. After, Sooyoung and Shin Dongyup hosted the awards ceremony together before Sooyoung was presented the Female Excellence Award – Mini Series for her role on “Springtime of My Life”. She graciously and humbly accepted the award while holding back tears, thanking the drama staff for giving her the opportunity to play Lee Bomi and supporting her along the way. She also gave a special thanks to S.M. Entertainment staff, her fellow Girls’ Generation members, SONEs, and her family, while also mentioning Kam Woosung and the many other senior actors, mentors, and colleagues in her life.
