  Kim Taeyeon was born in Jeonju on 9th March 1989. In 2004 she was discovered by SM Entertainment by winning the awards of "Best Singer" and the "Grand Award" at SME's annual contest. Three years later she debuted with the popular girl group, Girls' Generation, as their leader. Besides that, she was featured in musicals and also recorded solo singles.
