About Fashion and BLANC

she.com: Currently, what is South Korea’s most popular fashion? Has this influenced your and BLANC’s style?

Jessica: Fashion trends change quickly; they won’t wait for anyone. I pay more attention to fashion trends worldwide, and not just to those of South Korea. I often go all around the world, and this kind of experience has a profound impact on how I look at fashion and style. There are many trendsetting people in the world, and I hope to become a part of that group.

she.com: Where does your inspiration for BLANC’s ‘ready-to-wear’ series come from?

Jessica: The BLANC brand is my life goal and dream. I really like and enjoy being an artist, and will continue to participate in the entertainment business. But at the same time, I also have a lot of things to learn about fashion. I’m really looking forward to the future, before I release my 2015 fall/winter line, when I can work with and learn a lot from my fellow designers.

she.com: What’s your impression of Hong Kong? Do you think Hong Kong’s women or South Korea’s women are more fashionable?

Jessica: I don’t think one person is absolutely more fashionable than another. On the contrary, I think that every woman, as long as she uses her own style to express herself, will have a unique beauty, whether she’s from Hong Kong, or South Korea, or any other place in the world.

she.com: What’s your advice for Hong Kong women who want to dress in a South Korean style?

Jessica: My advice is very simple: just be true to yourself, and wear whatever clothes you feel are comfortable and distinct.

she.com: The seasons will be changing soon; what fashion items are on your must-buy list?

Jessica: A perfect biker leather jacket, and a large V-neck wool sweater paired with a perfect large scarf.

she.com: If you could be invisible for one hour, what would you do?

Jessica: Hm…If I could be invisible for an hour…if it was two hours…or three…I would go to Hong Kong’s Disneyland.

she.com: Who is the man of your dreams? Does he have a particular feature that attracts you?

Jessica: I want him to be someone who is very smart, infinitely gentle, interesting, and will care for others. At the same time he would still be ambitious, hard working, and a leader: the perfect combination of these three traits.

she.com: If you were a man, who would you pursue to be your girlfriend?

Jessica: That’s a very interesting question! Well…if I were a man, I would want my girlfriend to have the same qualities and characteristics that I just described for my ideal man.

she.com: Can you give us some skincare suggestions? How do you maintain your skin condition amidst the constant makeup and long work nights?

Jessica: Maintaining moisture is the key; you need to drink a lot of water and use a lot of moisturizing cream.

Fun Facts About Jessica

Jung Sooyeon, English name (stage name) Jessica, is a Korean-American singer and member of famous group Girls’ Generation. She was born in California, and while taking a tour in South Korea, she was discovered and entered the entertainment business. In 2007, Jessica and Girls’ Generation debuted and became popular in Asia. Jessica was named fifth on the list of 2012’s “World’s Most Beautiful Faces”.

About BLANC

On August 6th, 2014, Jessica announced the launch of her exclusive fashion brand, BLANC. The brand has a “modern classic” concept. Each series is personally designed by Jessica, with simple classic lines and interesting fashion details to create a refreshing fashion brand. BLANC is first launching a line of sunglasses, inspired by Jessica’s favorite cities; six styles will be on sale in Asia this month. Fragrance products will be released later this year, and even later, the brand’s first “ready-to-wear” series—its 2015 fall/winter clothing.

Taeyeon revealed Heechul might just be her best imitator!

jTBC released an interview of all the singers that would be on 'Hidden Singer 3', and Taeyeon was one of them! She was asked, "Have you seen people imitate you?", and she answered, "I've never seen anyone do it seriously. My friends and coworkers just do it for fun." When asked, "Who is the best?", she laughed and said, "Heechul oppa is the best." 

She was then asked to choose one of her songs that might be the hardest to sing. She chose her song "Can You Hear Me?", explaining, "The beginning part is hard because you have to sing it like you're speaking." She sang a bit as an example, making the male staff automatically respond. Her and the female PD laughed, and she said, "Men really like 'Can You Hear Me?'. Heechul oppa imitates that song so much."

Last week, Mixxo revealed a video of behind-the-scenes clips from a recent photoshoot with Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun. The three Girls’ Generation members take on a different visual from their usual bright colors for the brand, switching to a mix of dark blue, black, and white.

KakaoTalk, a popular messaging app, has recently released a set of “SMTOWN Special” stickers, featuring Girls’ Generation and other SMTOWN artists. The stickers are available in KakaoTalk’s mobile store for $2.99 USD. After purchase, buyers are automatically entered in a drawing, from which ten winners will be chosen to receive a “special gift box”. Girls’ Generation Featured in the “Los Angeles Times”

The “Los Angeles Times” recently reported on “KCON“, a two-day event that began on August 9th. Thearticle called the event “a mini-Coachella for Korean pop music”, mentioning Girls’ Generation as one of the few K-Pop groups to already have toured some major U.S. cities. It also brings up the “I Got A Boy” music video, which now has over 100 million views on YouTube and has won many recognitions, including the YouTube Music Awards’ “Video of the Year“.

SONE PLUS+ recently posted several photos of Tiffany, along with the a message titled “‘The Best’ Special Site Episode 1″. The message reads, “The first episode is from ‘The Best’ jacket shoot … The members went to the shooting for Girls’ Generation’s first best album wholeheartedly! While the jacket shooting proceeded smoothly, a part of the interview was also held on that day! To celebrate Girls’ Generation’s seventh anniversary earlier this week, this group of SONEs put together a creative stop-motion video set to what has quickly become our anthem for the Soshibond: “Indestructible”. Watch as this little pink ball of clay rolls through all odds to get to the stage, where everyone else is eagerly waiting.

Taeyeon says Heechul is the best at imitating her voice in an interview on 'Hidden Singer 3'

Taeyeon picked Heechul as the one who does his best when it comes to imitating her voice. 

In the broadcast of jTBC's 'Hidden Singer 3' on August 9th, Taeyeon was asked in an interview that if there's someone who has immitated her voice before, in which she answered,"There hasn't anyone who has imitated me seriously. My colleagues only imitate me as a joke while drinking".

Then Taeyeon was asked who does it best and she immediately replie it's Heechul. She also chose "Can You Hear Me" which was her OST from "Beethoven Virus" as the most difficult song for her to sing and even said Heechul also imitated the song a lot. 

'Hidden Singer 3' is expected to broadcast on August 16th.

JTBC’s ‘Hidden Singer’ Interviews Taeyeon

On August 9th, JTBC’s “Hidden Singer” aired interviews with the third season’s celebrity  guests. In May of this year, “Hidden Singer” revealed through a video teaser that Taeyeon would be appearing on the third season as a celebrity vocalist. In previous seasons, each episode of “Hidden Singer” featured a famous singer and several impersonators. The celebrity and impersonators, all hidden from the audience behind a blind, each sang part of a song by the celebrity, and the audience voted for which singer they thought was the original. Each episode would have several rounds of singing, with one singer eliminated each round

In her interview, Taeyeon first appears with a “mask” covering her face to hide her identity from the viewers. She explains that she has never seen anyone seriously imitate her singing, other than her colleagues who would do so as a joke after drinking, with Kim Heechul from Super Junior being best at it. Next, Taeyeon is asked if she has ever seen “Hidden Singer” before, and says that she has. Taeyeon also says that her members, Yoona included, like the show, thus “revealing” herself as Taeyeon.

Later, Taeyeon picks “Can You Hear Me”, her song from the “Beethoven Virus” OST, as one that would be difficult to sing and says that the introduction is very important. At this point, Taeyeon sings a line from the song, causing the male staff in the room to all say, “Oh~”, as a female staff member says, “See?!”, explaining that the male staff members had requested “Can You Hear Me” a lot. Taeyeon says that men in particular especially like “Can You Hear Me” and that Kim Heechul also imitates her singing the song a lot.

Finally, Taeyeon is asked how she thinks it would feel to have someone next to her who is singing her song and sounding like her. She answers that it would be amazing and would tell them to keep singing. She concludes the interview by introducing herself and inviting any singers who think they sound like her to try out for the show so that they may sing with her on stage.

Chinese brand 'LI-NING' launches collaborative line with Jessica

Girls' Generation's Jessica is really getting a strong foothold in the fashion industry!

Fans already know she's launching her own fashion line, and it turns out she's also worked with the Chinese clothing line LI-NING. She not only helped design some of the LI-NING x Jessica line, but she's also the model for the lines as well!

Lapalette releases more photos featuring Jessica and Krystal

Fashion brand Lapalette has released more photos featuring the Jessica and Krystal. 

As it was previously revealed, Jessica and Krystal have been selected as new models for the brand 2013 F/W line. Starting from August 5th, everyone will be able to see the advertisement images of the Jung sister through outdoor medias such as at bus stops and 38 offline stores of Lapalette.
