Girls’ Generation to release ’2011 Girls’ Generation Tour DVD’



Nine months after Girls’ Generation’s second tour through Asia ended in Bangkok, Thailand, SM Entertainment will now be releasing the “2011 Girls’ Generation Tour DVD”, featuring footage from the concert tour’s start in Seoul, South Korea on July 23rd and July 24th.

The DVD hits shelves on November 30th and will cost 33,000 won. It will consist of two discs showing nearly all of the performances during the concert, a bonus film of the making of the concert, performances from Japan, personal interviews with the members of Girls’ Generation, and waiting room and rehearsal footage. A photobook and a first press limited edition poster will also be included with the DVD.

Girls’ Generation holds first fan meeting in Japan



Hallyu star group Girls’ Generation held their first fan meeting since the release of their Japanese debut “Playing with Girls’ Generation” on Tuesday, in the Yoyogi First National Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

According to Japanese media reports, Girls’ Generation sang three of their hits, including “Gee”, “Oh!” and “Flower Power”, a new song, for the 10,000 fans who were invited to the event held in commemoration of the release of single “Flower Power” (on Nov. 21) and Girls’ Generation 2 (on Nov.28).

During the meeting, five groups, including “Ladies’ Generation”, consisting of housewives with an average age of 48, Children’s Generation, with an average age of 8, and “Inaho Generation”, consisting only of men, danced along with Girls’ Generation to the hit songs, raising the temperature at the venue.

Seohyun, a member of the group, said about the children’s dance, “I want to have a baby like them after marriage.” YoonA said, “We like to learn their prettiness.”

Girls’ Generation held their ‘Playing with Girls’ Generation‘ fanmeeting in Japan.
The girls successfully held their fanmeeting in Japan with 10,000 fans on the 13th at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in in Yoyogi Park, Tokyo, Japan. The ladies performed their greatest hits such as “Gee” and “Oh!“, and also performed their new single “Flower Power“. They especially snagged the fans’ with their outfit and choreography for the new song.
They also had a special segment called ‘Following Girls’ Generation‘, where they invited fans to dance to their songs. About 3000 fans applied to be on stage, but only 5 teams were chosen, including a ‘Older Women’s Generation‘ made up of 48-year-old housewives, ‘Boys’ Generation‘ made up of boys and a ‘Children’s Generation‘ made up of 8-year-old children.

TaeTiSeo appears on ‘Love in Asia’



Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo appeared on KBS’s “Love in Asia”, a program which looks to raise awareness of countries near South Korea. 

The November 13th episode of “Love in Asia” was a special collaboration between KBS and Vietnam Television, a broadcaster in Vietnam. The recording took place on November 2nd in both a studio in Korea and a studio in Vietnam.

Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun, while in the recording studio in Korea, first performed “Twinkle”, the title track of their first mini-album as a Girls’ Generation subunit. This performance was shown live to Vietnamese fans of Girls’ Generation in the recording studio in Vietnam, who responded with cheers and applause.

After the performance, several fans were also given the chance to ask several questions through a translator to Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun.

Tiffany models romantic winter looks through ‘High Cut’


The 90th issue of ‘High Cut‘ magazine will not only feature the handsome actor So Ji Sub, but the beautiful Girls’ Generation‘s Tiffany as well!
Scheduled to be released on November 15th, the newest issue will showcase Tiffany’s romantic winter pictorial.
For the shoot, Tiffany donned hard to pull off apparel from a floral print padded jacket to a fur cape as she showed readers how to stay warm yet chic throughout the upcoming winter season.
The idol’s collaborative pictorial with Juicy Couture will be released on the 15th, but in the meantime, check out some of the pre-revealed photos below!

“Little Psy” Hwang Min Woo films a CF with Girls’ Generation’s YoonA?


The child star from Psy‘s “Gangnam Style” MV Hwang Min Woo was recently captured dancing alongside Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA, leading fans to wonder if they’re filming a CF together.
Hwang Min Woo seems to be simulating his memorable scene in the “Gangnam Style” MV by dancing along to SISTAR‘s “Loving U” in a playground but this time he’s next to YoonA. This raised curiosity among fans on whether the two are filming a CF together but it was later revealed that the child star was actually using a new dance application to create the video.
A representative from cosmetics brand ‘Innisfree‘ revealed, “This video is a product of the mobile application, ‘Film a CF with YoonA‘. It is receiving attention because you can film a real-like and entertaining CF as if you’re on the same set as YoonA. The ‘Film A CF with YoonA’ video that Hwang Min Woo uploaded showcases Hwang Min Woo’s uniquely fierce facial expression and dynamic dance moves while YoonA is responding with, ‘Your steps are awesome’, ‘You are full of confidence’, which brought much laughter to netizens.”
In other news, YoonA is currently promoting as the endorsement model for ‘Innisfree’ cosmetics.

Girls’ Generation releases 6th Japanese single “Flower Power”



Girls’ Generation has finally released their sixth Japanese single, “Flower Power” in Japan.

“Flower Power”, which will be physically released on November 21st, also contains “BEEP BEEP” and “GIRLS’ GENERATION II Smash Up”, a medley of the songs from Girls’ Generation’s second Japanese album, “Girls’ Generation II ~Girls & Peace~”. 

Ahead of the release, “Flower Power” is already performing well in Japan. The single has topped the call forwarding ringtone daily chart on the Recochoku.
