Fans want Girls’ Generation on ‘I Am a Singer’

Recently, an online poll surveyed netizens on which artists they most wanted to see on the popular television program, ‘I Am a Singer‘.
At this time, Girls’ Generation is taking the lead with with 360,000 votes. Other artists on the poll include Super Junior at second place with 280,000 votes, F.T. Island in third place with 4,833 votes and CN BLUE taking fourth place with 4, 544 votes.
Girls’ Generation was said to have held onto the #1 spot since the first day of the poll’s opening.
There is no denying the girls’ talents, but are they ‘I Am a Singer’ material? Netizens believed that the girls definitely have what it takes to compete seriously in the show, especially ‘kid leader’ Taeyeon, whose vocal skills have “already been approved by many singers and songwriters alike”. One netizen wrote, “Should she come on the show, it will be a new and fresh turn for both the show and the audience as well”.
The voting poll is still ongoing, and will remain open until the 22nd.

Narsha snapped a photo with Sunny!



Brown Eyed Girls' Narsha shared a new picture with Girls' Generation's Sunny on her personal Twitter account.

On January 16th, the photo above was tweeted by none other than Narsha and she wrote "3 baby .... (Oh ... Sunny ...)".

In the picture, the 2 idols look like sisters. Narsha put her arm on Sunny's shoulder and both of them look at the camera while smiling brightly. They look happy to see each other again after a while.

The 2 were both original casts of the first season of Invincible Youth.

Netizens commented after seeing the photo, they said "we want G7" "Sunny and Narsha!" "Miss the original casts of Invincible Youth" and more.

SM Entertainments new office building "YG inspired"?


It looks like YG Entertainment wont be the only agency to be known to have luxurious company building inside and out. SM Entertainment's new headquarters have been revealed through on online community which uploaded photo's and the new building of SM Entertainment showcases luxurious appliances and interior designing.

Only the office rooms have been revealed from the building, the training and rehearsal rooms have yet to be revealed raising some high expectations from fans. However, despite the flashy new building, Netizens seems to be not too impressed and commented, "It's nice to see SM Entertainment has a new office", "YG Entertainment's building is still far better."

Invincible Youth first season cast reunites!

She snapped a few selcas with the Invincible Youth members including SNSD's Sunny,KARA's Goo Hara and 4Minute's Hyun Ah.

Fans mentioned that they missed the first season members very much,hope to see them reunite in the future!

SM artist to shoot for French fashion brand 'Carven'


On January 17th, a representative of fashion magazine ‘W Korea’ said, “Artists from SM Entertainment will be having a 2-day pictorial shoots from January 19th to 21st for French brand ‘Carven’ in a designated studio”.

The artists who will be participating in the shoots are YoonA and Seohyun, SHINee’s JongHyun and Taemin, f(x)’s Sulli and Krystal as well as SM’s upcoming new group, EXO. For this shoot which will be aired live on YouTube in real-time, the artists will be sporting the modern elegance concept.

A staff in charge of the pictorial shoot said, “The artists’ fresh and new look can be seen in real-time through a live channel, giving viewers a new experience as if they are together with us on the set”.

Girls' Generation's First Japanese Album Breaks Record!




Girls’ Generation’s first Japanese album “Girls Generation”, released on June 6th of last year, sold 16,000 copies this past week, giving them fifth place on Oricon’s weekly album sales chart.  This is the first time in history that an album by a Korean artist has placed in the Top 10 for seventeen weeks.  The previous record holder was the original soundtrack for the Korean drama “Winter Sonata”, which remained in the Top 10 for sixteen weeks.  ”Winter Sonata” was released in September of 2003.
In addition, Girls’ Generation holds the record among foreign artists for the most album sales in a week for a debut album with 232,000 copies sold.  Currently, 780,000 copies of “Girls’ Generation” have been sold, which includes their repackaged album.
“The Boys” also made impressive headway.  It was the best selling Korean album of 2011with 385,348 copies sold.
