SNSD’s Jessica participates in “Romance Town” OST

On May 18th, SNSD’s Jessica released a new solo track for KBS’s “Romance Town” OST.

Titled “Overflowing With Tears“, the track sees Jessica departing from the usual cutesy nature of SNSD’s songs with a deep and emotional ballad.

This is her first time participating in a drama OST without her fellow groupmates, but representatives revealed that she was just as strong on her own.

Jessica completed the recording on May 5th and stunned everyone with her characteristically light and clear voice. The song will began airing with the third episode broadcast on May 18th as Sung Yuri andJung Gyu Woon’s love theme.

“SM Town Live in Paris” sells out extra concert date in 10 minutes

On May 17th, SM Entertainment revealed that their extra concert date for “SM Town Live in Paris” sold out their tickets in just 10 minutes!

Representatives stated, “As it is the first ever Korean brand concert that ‘SM Town Live in Paris’ is presenting in Europe, fans have been showing explosive support. The extra concert date for June 11th has completely sold out within 10 minutes.”

The ticketing sites, FNAC and Live Nation, even crashed due to the influx of visitors. The original concert date previously headlined for selling out tickets in 15 minutes, which was already quite impressive, but this feat once again demonstrates the power of the Hallyu wave.

'Seohyun Station' featured on 'Running Man'

On the May 15th episode of SBS's "Running Man", competing pairs were given a clue about their destination in order to receive their mission. The clue to the first destination was to find the Girls' Generation's station in Bundang.

Of course, that station was the "Seohyun Station", with the clue making a pun on both the names of Girls' Generation's Seohyun and Seohyeon subway station. "Running Man" participants Song Jihyo and Yoo Jaesuk were able to figure out the clue immediately.

In related news, YongSeo couple fans put up a billboard at the Seohyeon station to celebrateComing-of-Age Day for Seohyun.

SNSD's first album topped Japanese music stores pre-order charts


SNSD’s first studio album ‘Girls’ Generation’ which will be officially released on June 1st topped Japan music sites’ pre-order list upon the announcement on May 16th.

In just 8 months after their Japanese debut in September last year, SNSD will be releasing their first Japanese album which includes their previous hit songs such as ‘Genie’, ‘Gee’ and ‘Mr.Taxi’. Once the pre-order was opened on Amazon Japan, the Deluxe Edition sold like hot cakes and rose to no.1 on the pre-order chart while the Limited Edition was ranked 5th.


Meanwhile, all 3 editions of SNSD’s ‘Girls’ Generation’ grabbed the top 3 spots of the pre-order chart on CD Japan. On HMV Japan, the Deluxe Edition was ranked 1st while the Limited Edition came in 2nd.

SNSD chosen as the most family like group


Music portal site, Bugs! conducted a survey entitled ‘Idol groups that give out a family-like atmosphere’ from May 10th to 16th involving a total of 5804 participants. From the result of the survey, SNSD who garnered 50% (2846 votes) of that total figure, topped the survey.

Big Bang came in 2nd with 43% (2445 votes), followed by CN Blue in 3rd with 5% (260 votes), 2PM in 4th with 3% (127 votes) and T-ara in 5th with 2% (82 votes).
