Yuri Attends ‘Animals’ Press Conference

On January 22nd, Yuri attended the press conference for MBC’s new variety show, “Animals“. Taking place at the MBC building in Seoul, Yuri joined her fellow cast members in speaking to the press about the program. Yuri recently traveled to China to film and work with pandas as a part of her group on the show, the “Three Bears”, which also includes of Jang Dongmin, Kwak Dongyeon, and g.o.d’s Park Joonhyung. Yuri attended the “Animals” press conference in a white and black outfit to go with her matching panda backpack. She answered a number of questions while also revealing that Girls’ Generation has been busily preparing to release a new album for 2015. Sunny and Shoo reminisce about their first meeting + dance to S.E.S with Nana and Lee Kuk Ju

Shoo, member of legendary SM girl group S.E.S, made a special guest appearance on the January 20 installment of SBS's 'Roommate' with her adorable twin girls, Ra Hee andRa Yool.  Meeting Sunny at the house, the two reminisced about their first meeting.

Shoo said, "I saw Sunny when she was in the third grade," and asked Sunny if she remembered Shoo back then.

Sunny replied, "Of course.  You put a sticker on my glasses.  I didn't take the sticker off and went around with it [on my glasses]."

Shoo looked affectionately at Sunny and said, "The Sunny from back then got so big."

In addition, Sunny, Nana, and Lee Kuk Ju danced to S.E.S's past tracks.  An excited Shoo could not contain her excitement and jumped right in as her daughters watched this spectacle with bewilderment and awe.  Check out their moves above!

Yuri records VCR as the 2nd guest for JTBC's 'Dating Alone'

According to the producers of JTBC's new dating variety show, 'Dating Alone,' Girls' Generation's Yuri finished recording her VCR as the second guest for the show where she will become the second virtual lover for those who are feeling lonely in the chilly winter weather. 

On January 19, the producers revealed that Yuri went through the motion of going on a date with the viewers. With her long locks and slim frame, the female idol was also chosen as the most ideal girlfriend type amongst young men. Throughout the filming, Yuri acted out various situations alone for the camera to create the ideal girlfriend image.  

'Dating Alone'  is a program that uncovers through VCR the romantic emotions and minds that women have when dating. A Pink's Eunji was the first virtual date to guest on the show.

Meanwhile, the first episode of 'Dating Alone' is scheduled to air on January 31 at 11PM KST.

The Twitter account for SBS’s “Roommate” recently tweeted a new picture featuring Sunny and some others from the show’s cast. The tweet reads, “The original fairy, Shoo of S.E.S., Rahee, and Rayul came to visit our sharehouse~ Everyone fell deeply for this family’s charms~ We can’t get out of it~” (translator’s note: Rahee and Raul are Shoo’s children. The last sentence is a word pun: they “fell” for them and “can’t get out”, as in they’re in too deep; essentially, they’re “addicted”).

g.o.d.’s Park Joonhyung recently posted a picture on his Instagram. The photo is of Yuri, himself, and other cast members of MBC’s “Animals”, which will begin airing in South Korea on January 25th. Girls’ Generation and Girls’ Generation – TTS Win Bonsang Awards at ’29th Golden Disk Awards’

On January 15th, Girls’ Generation and Girls’ Generation – TTS were awarded the Disk Bonsang awards at the second night of the “29th Golden Disk Awards”, held in the MasterCard Center in Beijing, China. Other winners of Bonsang awards included BTS, A Pink, VIXX, B1A4, Infinite, SHINee’s Taemin, CNBLUE, Super Junior, and EXO. Girls’ Generation had won the Popularity Award on the first night of the award show, held on January 14th.

Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun attended the event on January 15th to accept Girls’ Generation’s Disk Bonsang for “Mr.Mr.” on behalf of the group, as well as the Disk Bonsang for Girls’ Generation – TTS’s “Holler”. The three members thanked their fans and staff in their acceptance speech and performed “Holler”. Tiffany also appeared throughout the night as an MC with Jun Hyunmoo and Super Junior’s Leeuteuk.
