Reggir Martin previous hinted at the possible of Jessica debuting as a solo artist through a post on his Weibo and have made many excited upon such a great news.

'My Spring Day's writer denies the rumours regarding Sooyoung's casting in the drama

Park Ji Sook, who was the writer of MBC's drama 'My Spring Days', has cleared off those rumours regarding the casting of Girls' Generation's Sooyoung as the female lead.

She said in a recent interview,"If there's one sad thing about it, I can say that there was lot of talk about the casting for the female lead. But her agendy didn't involve in it by using neither their power or money"

She continued,"She auditioned with the mindset that she would only get a minor role. Her acting is not the stereotype like other actress but that somehow made me and the director throught,'This is how Bom Yi should be like'. Her laughter and straightforward talk and pure image are just perfect for Bom Yi".

Yoona Hosts and Girls’ Generation Performs at KBS’s ‘Gayo Daechukje’

On December 26th, the members of Girls’ Generation appeared at this year’s “Gayo Daechukje”, KBS’s annual end-of-year music festival. Yoona was one of three MCs for the show with Lee Hwijae and 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon, and Girls’ Generation appeared throughout the show in several performance and collaborations.

To start the show, all artists appeared on stage to sing Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga-In’s “Must Have Love“. Later, Taeyeon had collaboration stages with EXO’s Chen to sing “Breath” (originally by Taeyeon and SHINee’s Jonghyun) and Fly to the Sky’s Hwanhee to sing “Like a Star” (originally by Taeyeon and The One). Finally, for their group stage, Girls’ Generation performed a version of “Mr.Mr.” with an extended dance break while wearing white and red outfits.

Yoona Cast in Chinese Drama, ‘God of War Zhao Yun’

Yoona has been cast as the lead female role in an upcoming Chinese drama, “God of War Zhao Yun”. The 60-episode drama is about the hero Zhao Yun, whose life is dramatized in the historical novel “Romance of the Three Kingdoms”. It will consist of war, love, and development of characters set in the latter part of the Han Dynasty.

Yoona will play the heroine of the story, Xiahou Qing Yi, and will be working alongside actor Lin Gengxin, who will play Zhao Yun, one of the Five Tiger Generals under Liu Bei. In the story, Xiahou Qing Yi falls in love with Zhao Yun, but later discovers that he had killed her father.

Shooting for “God of War Zhao Yun” is set to begin next month, and the drama will begin airing in August on Hunan TV.
