Sunny to Play Lead Role in ‘Singin in the Rain’ Musical

Sunny has been selected for the role of Kathy Selden in SM Culture and Contents’ musical production of “Singin’ in the Rain”, an adaptation of the 1952 film. Other artists in SM Entertainment who will star in the musical include Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, SHINee’s Onew, and EXO’s Baekhyun. The musical will begin on June 5th and run until August 3rd at Chungmu Hall in Seoul. SM Culture and Contents has also prepared a website for “Singin’ in the Rain” that will open in June.

Sunny made her musical debut in 2012 with “Catch Me If You Can”, in which she played Brenda Strong in the musical’s first and second run from 2012 to 2013. Praised by critics for her performance, she was also nominated for the Female Newcomer award in “The 6th Musical Awards”.

Sunny to join the cast of musical 'Singin' In The Rain'

Sunny is confirmed to star in musical "Singin' In The Rain". 

She will play along with Super Junior's Kyuhyun, SHINee's Onew and EXO's Baekhyun as the heroine. It was said that she has joined the musical practice since earlier this month and has been putting in much effort in order to show her best performance to everyone. 

"Singin' In The Rain" musical will take place at Chungmu Art Hall's Grand Theatre from June 5th - August 3rd.

Seohyun and 2AM's Jo Kwon express their condolences about ferry incident

Girls' Generation's Seohyun and 2AM's Jo Kwon's tweets from April 20 have came to light. Both idols are made headlines for their thoughtful words as they expressed their condolences regarding the tragic ferry accident.

Seohyun wrote, "The tears that have fallen until they've dried.. the suffering that an already torn up heart could not even have imagined.. I hope there will be no more events to cause pain.. I hope for a miracle.. I truly pray with earnest.. To all the sacrificed lives from this incident.. I hope you have gone to a better place.. I send my condolences."

Jokwon wrote on the same day, "Only grief and resentment are growing right now. The captain, who shirked his responsibilities. The government that should stand up for the families. The press that should be fair. The portion of thoughtless netizens. People come first. It's simple, but must be really hard for them."  

Then in a follow up tweet he posted, "Even me, whose job requires the constant balancing of feelings. Endlessly, I settle my feelings." The 2AM member also shared the photo below with the tags,"#prayforsouthkorea#yellowribbon." The message states, "One small movement [can cause] a miracle."

Taeyeon Shares Photos Using New Instagram Account

On March 17th, Taeyeon opened an Instagram account and, to the delight of fans, has begun to share photos with her rapidly growing list of followers. Instagram is a photo-sharing service that allows users to quickly take pictures and share them through the internet.

Taeyeon continues to upload new images to her Instagram, ranging from a snapshot of her shoes to a photo of a road in Japan. Taeyeon also posted a message in an image, in which she explained why she chose to begin using Instagram. Her message reads:

Everyone! This is Taeyeon from Japan~

I am always looking for ways to interact with you all, and I want to share happy news with you all the time!

I’ve always used the official homepage and UFOtown but I felt that was missing… something?

(There are lots of small things that I want to share from time to time)

But it’s not like I can spam the official homepage… that’s just not right ㅜ

and UFOtown is just me receiving questions to answer..

I thought… it would be nice if I could ask you questions as well ^^

I know exactly what everyone is worried about right now.

I also don’t want me or anyone close to me to be hurt..

The reason I started Instagram was to be closer with you all!

The time I spend outside of Korea increases

and because of that, the number of international SONEs increases.

I wanted to… share more simple, interesting, trivial things.

I will uploads pictures like everyone else!

It’s very similar to the official page. The only difference is that the main topic is Taeyeon.

On June 23rd, Jessica surprised fans by opening a Weibo account under the username of Sy__Jessica. She uploaded a cute selca of herself as her display picture and posted a short message: “Hi Weibo friends, it’s nice to finally be here! Let’s have some fun! “.
