SNSD is happy to promote alongside 2NE1

SNSD reveal their sincere feelings about promoting at the same time with 2NE1.

In an interview backstage with Star News at M!Countdown on March 6, SNSD expressed, "We released the teasers and comeback  date but it got postponed so we are sorry to our fans. We feel bad that we weren't able to show you our new song as quick as possible."

SNSD's 4th mini album 'Mr. Mr' was supposed to be released on 19th along with the music video and comeback stage was supposed to be performed on the 20th at M!Countdown. However, the music video encountered some data lost and got delayed thus releasing it later. The album was released on 24th instead. "We released it late but we are satisfied with the result."

When talked about the overlapping promotions with 2NE1, the girls sincerely responded that they don't mind it at all. Besides, Taeyeon said, "Because we have different color, we don't really care about it. It's fun to promote along with them and other good sunbaenims and hoobaes. I hope our fans would have fun and love it too."

Meanwhile, SNSD won 1st place yesterday at M!Countdown.

After performing, Girls’ Generation was interviewed in a waiting room and asked what the members would do if they won first place this week. Though Taeyeon mentioned that they would possibly take off their jackets and sing, the other members complained that this was too little. Taeyeon protested in return, saying, “A girl group just said they will take off their clothes and sing.” Sunny later mentioned that they would decide on an official promise for next week.

Girls' Generation also break into the chart + 2NE1 set new record for a Kpop album on Billboard 200

Girls' Generation and 2NE1 are both continuing to achieve new feats and getting Kpop out into the world as they enter the Billboard 200 chart beating out the previous record for a Kpop album. But it was 2NE1 who grabbed the title of being the new record holder.

Entering the Billboard 200 is quite a feat as it's known as the definitive chart for album sales in the United States.

TaeTiSeo's 'Twinkle' set the record for a Kpop album by coming in at #126 on the chart back in 2012. The three members of the unit are now joined by the rest of their members as Girls' Generation came in at #110 on the chart for the week ending March 2, according to Billboard.

However, it was 2NE1 that put their name on the record as the highest charting Kpop album on the Billboard 200 as they have come in at #61.

In addition to Billboard 200, all of 2NE1's new tracks ranked in the top 40 on Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100 chart with "Come Back Home" at #2. They also ranked #5 with the song on the World Digital Songs chart.

Girls' Generation also left their mark at #5 on the K-Pop Hot 100 chart and #4 on the World Digital Songs Chart with "Mr.Mr".

It's no wonder that these two are the top two Kpop girl groups in the scene with feats such as these! For all the numbers and details, check out the Billboard posts here and here. Congrats to both groups!

Girls' Generation dish on fighting, stress relieving, crushes, and more

The ladies of Girls' Generation appeared on the March 5 installment of SBS's 'One Night of TV Entertainment' and truthfully replied to questions with humorous and interesting answers!

MC Kim Il Jong asked, "Do the members fight by any chance?"  Seohyun said, "We fight everyday,"and then became taken aback when Jessica jokingly said, "Seohyun always hits us.  If you get a bruise, you just have to think that Seohyun caused it."

Both YoonA and Seohyun explained that the latter's elbows were unnaturally pointy.

The girls also talked about how they relieved stress and what their joys in life were. Yuri said, "Sleeping makes me happy," after the other girls talked about how she could barely stay up for a movie at night.

Sunny said in relation to the video of her eating in the dorms, "Because I get stressed when preparing for a comeback, I relieve that stress by eating.  Although my weight doesn't change much because I'm so active, when I think back, I do feel like I ate too much."

Kim Il Jong also asked, "Recently, is there a man that makes your heart beat fast?Hyoyeon replied with a cute mistake, "That person in 'You Who Came From The Night,'" making everybody laugh.  It seems likely she was talking about Kim Soo Hyun from 'You Who Came From The Stars.'

She also addressed the video of her, YoonA, and Jessica partying it up in a van, saying, "That's really nothing."  It seems the girls are even quirkier when they're off camera!  Jessica concurred, "You cannot even imagine."

Sunny explained, "In order to charge up before going on stage, we need to do a warm up."
