Sunny celebrates her birthday with Girls’ Generation

The second photo was of just Taeyeon and Sunny, and Sunny looks like she’s cracking up at whatever Taeyeon has just said or done. Taeyeon expressed herself with just a “:)“, but that was enough to show how happy she was.

Yuri Cast as Lead Female in the Movie ‘No Breathing’

Girls’ Generation’s Yuri has been cast as the lead female role in Korea’s first swimming-themed film, “No Breathing”, which will portray the friendship and love of youth. Yuri is planning on showing an enthusiastic performance in the role of “Jung Eun”, a girl who dreams of becoming a musician. It’s a character who has a variety of charms, from an easygoing personality to an innocent appearance, along with emotion-filled singing skills.

There will be a love triangle between her and childhood friends, who will be played by Lee Jongsuk and Seo Inguk.

Yuri stated, “I’m glad to be able to show a new side of me through a movie. After reading the scenario for ‘No Breathing’, I liked the character and got the feeling of wanting to act as her. I will work hard to create a great work.”

“No Breathing” will officially begin filming on May 19th and is scheduled to premiere near the end of this year.

Tiffany is a ‘California girl’ for ‘1st Look’

After throwing the ceremonial first pitch for LA Dodgers, Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany toured around her hometown in Los Angeles and showcased her ‘California Girl’ look for the May issue of fashion magazine, ‘1st Look’.

Fitting with the summer, Tiffany dressed in vivid colors in her stylish floral tops and jeans. Her bright eye smiles and adorable charms especially stood out as she enjoys the lively atmosphere of California.

Hyoyeon and Min are bare-face best friends during their latest get together

Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon and miss A‘s Min continue to prove that they’re still best friends with another selca from their latest get together.

Hyoyeon wrote on her new Instagram, “On a date with Min”, and shared a selca of her and Min going out for a spin and showing confidence in their bare faces.

Hyoyeon and Min became good friends when they met at a dance school called Little Winners, they teamed up together and put on performances before they debuted with their respective companies.

Girls’ Generation to Perform for KBS’s ‘Music Bank’ Special 700th Episode

Girls’ Generation will be performing on KBS’s “Music Bank” for their special 700th episode on May 17 at Shingwan Public Hall. The girls will be performing “I Got A Boy” and “Gee” for this special episode.

This will be their first time appearing on KBS’s “Music Bank” again after finishing up their successful promotions for “I Got A Boy” in February.

Other performers include Shinhwa, 2PM, SHINee, K.Will, SECRET, 4minute, B1A4, Nine Muses, Seo Inyoung, Ailee, Dynamic Duo, Simon D., and Rhythm Power.

Hyoyeon Opens Instagram Account

On May 3rd, Hyoyeon opened an Instagram account and began posting pictures on the popular photo-sharing service. Hyoyeon’s first uploads centered on a trip to Bangkok, Thailand, and she has since uploaded a seven-frame photoset and selcas with SHINee’s Key and miss A’s Min.

Hyoyeon can be found on Instagram under the username watasiwahyo. Taeyeon and Hyoyeon are currently the only members of Girls’ Generation with official Instagram accounts.

Not Just The Aegyo Queen: A Poem for Sunny on Her 25th Birthday

She brought light to this world on an overcast day,
May 15, 1989.
Born into a family of entertainers, she was destined to become
A superstar, one of the divine nine.
So at the age of 9, she began to train for debut,
And with passion and hard work, her talents, they grew.
And after some time, she joined a group of eight
To make Girls’ Generation nine and seal their fate.

She’s known as the fake maknae for her very short height
And the gift of CCP*, her trademark.
SoShi’s energy pill, she has a friendly disposition
And 1000-watt smile that drives away the dark.
Fans and non-fans alike tout that she’s one-of-a-kind,
With inner beauty and strength that are very refined.
She shows appreciation by often wearing presents from fans,
During shows and events, and even on her way to Japan.

Despite her small stature, she protects her members well,
Springing into action when she is most needed.
Her ninja reflexes are unparalleled -
No matter the circumstance, she cannot be defeated.
Still, fireworks and other loud noises scare her,
But she doesn’t let them deter her.
In sickness and health, she always shows her best side
And comforts others, while her own emotions, she hides.

At first, by no means did she stand out from the rest -
Only “the aegyo queen,” as she came to be known.
Eventually, a singer, MC, DJ, actress,
And many more talents still to be shown.
Through “Invincible Youth”, she showed her Soonkyu side -
She befriended a cow and caught chickens with pride.
Many came to adore her for her bright disposition,
And it was then that this Sunshiner caught the Sunny condition.

And so now we celebrate our brave superhero,
25 going on 50-years-old.
The grandmother who cares for her SoShi children
Will always shine brightest with her heart of gold.
This goes out to the girl who has risen to fame,
To the girl who is a pro at video games,
To the girl who is truly as sweet as honey,
To our beautiful birthday girl, our love, Sunny.
