Yuri to make big screen debut with ‘No Breathing’

Girls’ Generation’s Yuri will be making her full-fledged debut on the big screen.

Yuri has been cast as the lead female role for the upcoming film ‘No Breathing’, alongside Seo In Guk and Lee Jong Suk. Actress Kang Sora was also considered for the role, but Yuri was chosen for the spot, who first showcased her acting skills in the drama ‘Fashion King’.

‘No Breathing’ is written by screen writer Yoo Young Ah, who is also behind several hit films including ‘Korea’, ‘The Tower’, ‘My Pavarotti’ and ‘Miracle in Cell No.7’. It will be a youth sports drama about the competition and love between swimmers. Filming is scheduled to begin this month.

Update: Girls’ Generation to Release Seventh Japanese Single, ‘LOVE&GIRLS’, on June 19th

The release date of Girls’ Generation’s new Japanese single, “LOVE&GIRLS”, has been postponed from May 29th to June 19th. The music video that is to be included in the limited edition of the new single has also been changed from “Beep Beep” to “LOVE&GIRLS”. The music video will be filled with new experimental things, which is the reason for the delay of the single.

Girls’ Generation’s Japanese fansite has revealed the release of a new single in Japan entitled “LOVE&GIRLS”. The single will come in two versions, a limited edition for 1,890 yen and a regular edition for 1,260 yen. Both versions will contain two tracks, “LOVE&GIRLS” and “Lingua Franca”, while the limited edition will also come with a DVD containing the “Beep Beep” music video.

Jessica Attends I.T Hysan ONE’s Demin Popup Store Cocktail Reception in Hong Kong

On May 12th, Jessica traveled to Hong Kong for the Demin Popup Store Cocktail Reception at I.T Hysan ONE, a large store housing various shops and brands, as well as an exhibition site to show shoppers the latest in art and fashion. I.T Hysan ONE is one of several stores under I.T, a Hong Kong fashion conglomerate.

The reception took place on May 13th, and Jessica arrived at the event in a beautiful yellow outfit. Other guests invited to the event included fashion designer Chang Minyoung and stylist Jeong Yun Kee. Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Rainbow's Noeul show off their friendship in new photos.

Yuri to debut on the big screen with leading role on ‘No Breathing’

Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri will be debuting on the big screen in the role of a swimmer.

She’ll be playing the main character in ‘No Breathing‘, a youth sports movie that tells the story of love and rivalry among competitive swimmers. Actress Kang Sora was also considered for the role, but in the end Yuri snagged the spot. She’ll be acting with Lee Jong Suk and Seo In Guk.

It’ll be her debut on the big-screen, but Yuri has previous acting experience in the drama ‘Fashion King‘.

The movie will begin filming this month and will be released in theaters in late 2013.

Sooyoung to show totally different image for ‘Cyrano’

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung will be showcasing a totally different image for her upcoming tvN’s drama series ‘Dating Agency: Cyrano’.

On May 12, producers of the drama released pictures of Sooyoung in her role as Gong Min Young, who is described as a bright romanticist. In the photos, she is showing a totally different looks from the image that she shows as a singer on the stage. Especially, her cute facial expressions are drawing many people’s attention. 

According to the Producer Kang Hee Jun, “Sooyoung’s passion is amazing. Not only does she give particular cares to her costumes, she also goes through endless rehearsals and studies. I think viewers will be able to see her upgraded acting in this drama.”

‘Dating Agency: Cyrano’ is a 16-episode drama based off of the webtoon, ‘Cyrano Agency’, and is a prequel to the original ‘Cyrano: Dating Agency’ movie. It is centered around a “Dating Agency” that helps people with love problems.
