On January 19th, the 21st Seoul Music Awards kicked off at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. Sponsored by Sports Seoul, High One Resort and supported by the Korean Commision, the prestigious event is one of the greatest awards in the domestic music industry and a platform for recognition.

Seoul Music Awards honored deserving artists from different genres with Daesang Award, Bonsang Award, Best Album Award, Digital Music Award, Rookie Award, R&B Award and more.

On January 19th, K-Pop stars flocked to the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium to attend the21st Seoul Music Awards .

The awards show first began in 1990 and is held annually by Sports Seoul to recognize outstanding achievements in the Korean music industry. It is one of the big four music award ceremonies in Korea, alongside the Mnet Asian Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards, and Melon Music Awards.

Yuri voted most suitable for the 'see through look' among girl group members

Girls' Generation's member Yuri was selected as the girl group member who carries off the best ‘see-through look’ among all girl groups in a survey, which was carried out from December 27th until January 18th.

300 women were surveyed on the topic of ‘Which girl group member best suits the see-through look?’ and in first place came Girls’ Generation’s Yuri with 127 votes.

Not far behind was Wonder Girls’ So Hee in second place with 101 votes and in third place was Miss A’s Suzy with 68 votes.

One of the women who participated in this survey was the Chief of Lisen Plastic Surgery Clinic and she commented, “I chose Yuri because she has a cute and bright face and also a beautiful body line that suits the see-through look very well.”

The see-through look can accentuate the bust line as well as the body line and also portray a more pure and sexy image. Using material that slightly shows what’s beneath, whether it is a blouse or dress, is a feminine fashion that allows the body to be expressed beautifully.

A representative from the fashion industry commented, ”Celebrities choose to wear the see-through look because it allows them to show a sexier side of them without having to show too much. When in the spotlight this type of style would be the most appropriate when wanting to show off a curvy chest line and a slender body line.”

SM reveals 'W Live with SM Fashionistas' photoshoot

SM Entertainment's artists will be having a 2-day pictorial shoots from January 19th to 21st for French brand ‘Carven’ called "W Live with SM Fashionistas".

The artists who will be participating in the shoots are YoonA and Seohyun, SHINee’s JongHyun and Taemin, f(x)’s Sulli and Krystal as well as SM’s upcoming new group, EXO's Kai, Lu Han and Se Hun.

On January 19th, SM released series of clips from the photoshoot. Check out the videos below:

SHINee, Girls’ Generation, & B2ST rank on Oricon’s DVD Chart

SHINee, Girls’ Generation, and B2ST have proven their popularity in Japan once again!

SHINee and Girls’ Generation both ranked on the Oricon‘s ‘DVD Weekly Chart’ for the week of January 9th through the 15th. SHINEE grabbed 2nd place with ‘SHINee the 1st Japan Concert-SHINee World‘ (released January 11th), while Girls’ Generation ranked 3rd with ‘Japan First Tour Girls’ Generation’(released December 14th, 2011).

B2ST has also placed their mark on the Oricon DVD Chart by ranking 2nd on the ‘Daily Chart’ for January 17th with their newly released ‘B2ST the 1st Concert – Welcome to B2ST Airline’.
