Many of Korea’s top Hallyu singers will be coming together once again to perform for the ’2011 Hallyu Dream Concert‘!
Taking place on October 3rd at Gyeongju’s Citizen Stadium, this year’s event boasts an impressive lineup! TVXQ, SNSD, 2PM, SHINee, miss A, GD&TOP, Se7en, SECRET, ZE:A, Davichi,4minute, B2ST, G.NA, T-ara, SISTAR, MBLAQ, and INFINITE will all be performing for the event.
The Korean Entertainment Producers’ Association (KEPA) commented, “This is the second year we are holding the Hallyu Dream Concert. We hope that through the distinct characteristics of our culture and the popularity of Hallyu, we will be able to make this event become the representative cultural festival of Gyeongju.”
On SBS’ “Chuseok Special-Dalgona“, Sooyoung came on as a guest and met with her first love, who possessed a similar appearance as Big Bang‘s T.O.P.
On this day’s recording, Sooyoung’s first love, who received much attention as soon as he came on set because of his good looks, exposed memories of his first love with Sooyoung.
Unlike many people who precisely remember their first love memories, Sooyoung said her memories of her first love were faint. Her first love claimed that he only remembered being rejected by Sooyoung.
Sooyoung’s first love stated, “In elementary school we had crushes on each other. I heard a rumor that Sooyoung liked me so I confessed, but Sooyoung said she had to become a singer and rejected my proposal.”
On September 12th, through SBS’ “Chuseok Special-Dalgona”, viewers will be able to see Sooyoung and her first love share different sides and memories of their first love story.
SNSD member Sunny confessed that she’s been stalked by television host, singer, and rapper Boom!
On the September 6th airing of SBS’s ‘Strong Heart’, Sunny revealed, “There was this one person who called me all the time,” and followed up by stating that Boom had been calling her while he was serving in the military.
Sunny continued with her story, “Boom called me all the time. He asked for my help, and made a video call after which he said ‘Don’t hang up’. He told me to ‘wait’, and I could see many soldiers in the back screaming their lungs out after seeing me.”
During the video call, Sunny wasn’t wearing any makeup, nor was she wearing anything fancy, however Boom continued to beg and plead to her to say ‘hi’ to the fellow soldiers, and that she did. She said, “Oppas, it looks like you all are working very hard!“, showing off her well known aegyo charms.
Sunny once again continued by stating, “One time late at night, Boom had called, and it was a collect call. I was trying to hang up, and I said ‘I’m busy’, however Boom continued to say, ‘I know, it must be uncomfortable. How long do you think Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong will reign as the best MCs? You know their time is almost up, and they’ll want younger blood. It will soon be my turn,” revealing Boom’s shocking statement.
As Sunny continued to explain, Boom became nervous, shaky, and quickly began to defend himself by saying it was all 100% jokes. Sunny countered his statement by revealing that she felt it was all real feelings.
One of Boom’s other statements revealed by Sunny was, “Sunny, don’t let me go. I really love Soshi“, revealing his love and passion for the girls of SNSD.
Super Junior’s Leeteuk thereafter took the lead by revealing that Boom’s background on his cell phone is none other than a photo of Sunny.
Boom concluded the segment, “Soldiers love women. At the time, I was hosting a radio show for the fellow soldiers, and I knew that my jokes were getting old. We had no guests, and nothing to do, we were bored, which is why I called Sunny and requested that she doesn’t hang up, because we were on air.”

Son Hoyoung’s global celebrity news show “K-STAR News” on SBS E!TV revealed a different side of Girls’ Generation’s Yoona. Despite her innocent looks, Yoona’s laid-back appearance showed her hidden image and has made her the number one person to cast on variety programs. The staff of “K-STAR News” found unexpected sides of Yoona with her beauty, appearing in dramas, CFs, and being the center of Girls’ Generation.
Yoona’s natural good looks could be seen through her predebut audition video, which her fellow Girls’ Generation members confirmed as well. In one variety program, Sooyoung’s first impression of Yoona being an angel garnered attention.
Alongside some of Korea’s representative beauties such as Song Hyegyo and Lim Soojung, Yoona also shot make-up CFs, gaining acknowledgement for her beauty. It seems Yoona’s unexpected images gained more attention, as she is known as being the beautiful center of Girls’ Generation.
MC Son Hoyoung and Yoo Yeonji’s “The Center of Global Hallyu” will be seen on September 9th at 10 pm on SBS E!TV “K-STAR News”.
On September 6th, during SBS’s “Strong Heart”, Sunny stated, “There was one person who constantly contacted me,” revealing how Boom obssessed over her during his time in the army.
Sunny said, “[Boom] constantly contacted me. He asked for my help. I received a video call. A close oppa’s face appeared and he said, ‘Sunny, don’t hang up’. He said, ‘Hold on,’ and I saw extremely excited soldiers.”
At the time, Sunny didn’t have any make-up on, but Boom said, “You’re very pretty and perfect. Could you say hi?” In the end, Sunny showed her aegyo saying, “Oppas, I bet you’re tired. Fighting!”
Sunny added, “[Boom] called me late at night and even called collect. If I say ‘I’m a bit busy’ [trying to hang up], he would say ‘This is burdensome, right? Well, Kang Hodong and Yoo Jaesuk are national MCs, they’re the best. But how long do you think they’ll be the greatest? I don’t think they’re going to last much longer. They need young blood. It’ll open up soon’.”
Boom was sweating bullets and said, “I was 100% joking,” to which Sunny refuted, “I could feel his sincerity.” During the same call, Sunny revealed his obsession to Girls’ Generation saying, “Sunny, don’t let me go. I love Soshi.” Super Junior’s Leeteuk helped Sunny’s claim by saying that Boom has Sunny’s photo as his phone’s wallpaper.
Boom then started to explain, “Soldiers like women. We had a skit to get military personnel laughing, but there weren’t any guest singers. They seemed tired from laughing at my stories, so I tried calling Sunny. I said, ‘Don’t hang up,’ because it was still a broadcast.”
