Yuri and Sooyoung Relive Childhood Memories on "Dalgona" Chuseok Special


Girls’ Generation’s Yuri and Sooyoung appeared on the SBS Chuseok Special episode of “Dalgona” with their respective childhood friends, where they revealed stories from their past.

On the set, Yuri’s friends revealed, “Since she was little, Yuri was a mirror princess. Her house was full of mirrors, starting from the entrance of her house, all the way to her room. Whenever she would walk by a mirror in the living room, she would practice making pretty faces.”

They surprised everyone by adding, “Once, when we met up for the first time in a while to watch a movie and go out to eat, she left early because she didn’t like what she wore out that day.”

Yuri stated, “Some elementary school students wear the same clothes for days in a row, but I remember changing every single day,” acknowledging her unique ways.

Also, Sooyoung’s first love gained attention on “Dalgona” due to looking like Big Bang’s T.O.P. During the recording, he revealed “first love memories” he had with Sooyoung.

However, their memories were different from the usual first love stories, as Sooyoung dimly remembered him. He stated that he only remembered being rejected by Sooyoung.

Sooyoung’s first love revealed, “When we were in elementary school, we had good feelings for one another, and I heard Sooyoung liked me so I confessed. However, Sooyoung rejected my confession by saying ‘I have to become a singer’.”

Girls' Generation to Hold "Surprise Blood Drive Event" on September 7


The official Girls’ Generation Facebook page was updated with a post this morning about a “Surprise Blood Drive Event” that will be held on September 7. In the post, they discuss how many bags of blood are used each day in Korea, and that they will be taking part in and supporting a blood drive in order to address the shortage of blood. The post has been translated and attached below.

[TRANSLATION]:

Hello~ This is Girls’ Generation~ Have any of you ever donated blood?
In our country, every 7 seconds, 1 blood bag, 1 minute, 9 blood bags, every hour, 517 blood bags, and in a day, 12,377 bags are used~ And so they say there is a shortage~
So Girls’ Generation will be holding a “Surprise Blood Drive Event” with KBS on September 7th!
Please take part in the “Surprise Blood Drive Event” that Girls’ Generation will also be taking part in and supporting^^

*Location: KBS Shin-Gwan TV Hall
*Date: September 7th, 2pm~6pm
*Preparation Checklist
1. You must, must have your ID or school ID!
2. People who are older than 16 years of age may participate~ If you were born in 1995 but your birthday has passed, you may also take part!^^

"SM Town Live in Tokyo" 150,000 People in 3 days


BoA, Tohoshinki, Shoujo Jidai, SHINee, Super Junior and other popular artists performed in the live concert “SM TOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION” which was held on 2-4 September in Tokyo Dome, attracting a total crowd of 150,000 people over 3 days. This is the report of the performance.

“SMTOWN LIVE in TOKYO” was held for the first time in Japan (At the Yoyogi National Gymnasium Hall 1) in January this year, and saw an audience of 24,000 people, selling out tickets in a moment, and leading to the additional performances in “SMTOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION” being held at Tokyo Dome.

With the number of 150,000 people attending over 3 days, this is the largest “SM TOWN LIVE” in history. 36 members from 11 groups of SM Entertainment artists came together in one night for a dream-like concert, intoxicating the fans.

SONE show support for YoonA on "Star Auction"


YoonA has proven the power of Korean Wave.

YoonA recently participated in the filming of MBC’s ChooSeok special programme ‘Star Auction’. For the star’s item which fetches the highest price, 80 million Won will be added through company sponsorship on top of the successful bidding price and the donation will be made in the star’s name.

To support YoonA, SNSD’s fans from overseas had also taken part in the programme. In order to help support YoonA’s auctioned item, the fans participated in the programme together with the other 200 individuals by signing up through MBC website and broadcasting notice.

‘Star Auction’ will be aired on September 13th at 11am KST.

SNSD selected as most memorable game advertisement models


Netizen picked SNSD as the most memorable game advertisement models over other entertainers.

Game site, ‘dcgame.in’ conducted a survey entitled, ‘Among game advertisement models, who is the most memorable entertainer?’ from August 29th to September 5th.

SNSD topped the survey, garnering 2807 votes (67.9%) from the total of 4,136 votes. In 2008, SNSD became the promotional model for MMORPG ‘Mabinogi’ where the girls received a lot of good comments on how they blended well with the game’s cute characters.

Tiffany was featured as a cute Mabinogi-like character in the music video with fantasy background based on the game itself and the music video received lots of love from fans.

Rain, who modeled for ‘Sudden Attack’, took the 2nd spot with 340 votes (8.2%) followed by IU in 4th with 168 votes (4.1%), who was recently selected as the TVCF model for ‘Horse and My Story, Alicia’.

Also listed in the survey are singer-cum-actress Jang NaRa (Fortress), actress Aoi Sora (Dragona), 2NE1 (Sudden Attack), f(x) (Freestyle Basketball), etc.
